World-Class AWFUL
What a nightmare! At 4:45 a.m., I was awakened by a wild, noisy crowd of people in the hallway screaming profanities and threats at each other (male and female). I called the front desk, and was told they had already received several complaints and would take care of it immediately. In this case, immediately was not until over 30 MINUTES LATER, by which time I was unable to go back to sleep. When I checked out, I was not asked "How was your stay"? Perhaps the staffer already knew and was afraid to ask. A refund would not be enough to make amends for this Hellish experience. Next time, I'll stay with PARIS Hilton instead of the Capital Hilton. She may be stupid, but she could not be less hospitable!

Not as good as it used to be
This is my fourth year coming to the Capital Hilton. It has always been first class, and the conceierge lounge has been a great plus and lifesaver for those of us that work long days. This year, after paying the additional room rate for the lounge, the lounge was empty of snacks, drinks and even the coffee machine was not working. I did not receive anything from this lounge. False advertising. I will not come back in the future. The hotel was not cleaned properly, trash from previous guest was still in the trash can and the tub was not clean.

Class and Convenience
Beautiful room, classy all around from beginning to finish. Great location. I was there on business and chose the hotel for its close proximity to my primary meeting location and metro accessibility, but was blown away by such high quality for the price I paid. It felt like more of a retreat than a business trip.

DC Traveler
friendly staff, great location and very clean and in a new wing. Lots of traffic noise even facing the alley and there was $40 per night vallet parking, the only other option for parking was driving around finding a lot or it was suggested that we could park on the street and feed the meter.

capital hilton easter 2010
the staff checked us in a queen bed room even though we booked a king size. after a couple of calls, they switched us to the worst king size room they had, right next to extremely noisy elevators. But, the location is very good.

Great location,great service and price.
We like the hotel very much. There were some noise due to renovation, but it was only in the day time when no one is around. At the end it was a very pleasent stay.

Comfortable and Pleasant
We made a last minute decision to go to the Cherry Blossom Festival in Washington DC. The location of the Capital Hilton was a few blocks from the capital, the hotel was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful in choosing local restaurants. We would stay there again. Thank you Capital Hilton

The Bellhop suggested Georgia Brown's for dinner; only a few blocks from the hotel. Excellent food and service. Eventhough we did not have reservations (strongly suggested) we sat at a table in the bar area. We were served warm homemade biscuits and corn bread with our entrees of Virginia Peanut Chicken and Sugar & Spice Pork Loin; nothing Mom ever made, better. We highly recommed this restaurant.

Capital Hilton
The hotel was close to plenty of restaraunts and not that far from the actual "tourists" areas, such as the Washington Monument or the White House. You can walk or take a taxi for under $7. The parking at the hotel was way over priced at $40/night when other garages were charging only about $10-20/night. I would suggest dropping bags off and parking somewhere else, especially if you aren't going to be driving.

From what I understand a good breakfast is hard to come by in DC, however there is a little place right next to the theatre that Lincoln was assasinated in, I think the name was the pancake house, anyway it was definetly worth the walk each morning!
