"The best D.C. has to offer"

I stayed at the Capital Hilton for the first time in August of 2009. I have been thinking of their hamburgers ever since. Their burgers are a bit on the pricey side but worth ever penny! On my next trip to D.C. I just knew I had to stay their again. The hotel is only two blocks from the White House and 5 from Dupont Circle, so its proximity to all the city has to offer is ideal. I have stayed at a lot of nice hotels and have found the staff stuffy and pretentious; the staff at the Capital Hilton treats you like family. Whenever I have to travel to D.C. you know where I'll be.

Time-saving tip: Short walk from hotel

The White House, the National Mall, The Lincoln Memorial, The Smithsonian, The Vietnam and Korean War Memorials are only blocks away...Almost every attraction our Nations Capital has to offer is within a 20 minute walk. More importantly it is only a $15 cab ride from DCA.

Great [...] price

The service was outstanding, the room was roomy and comfortable, however we could hear people in the hall and closing their doors. They are redecorating which did not interfere with our stay. There are many restaurants nearby ( 1-4 blocks). The metro is 2 blocks away. We had an enjoyable stay. The price of parking is now $42 daily. [...], you offered a great price for this room. Thank you.

Capital Hilton stay on 9-28-2010

The bathroom was very small. It did not have a small refrigerator that makes refreshments more accessiable. We could not get any ice because the machine was always empty. They did not offer a complimentary breakfast which always makes your stay easier and more enjoyable. The restrauants inside the were very, very expensive. My advice to anyone that is not rich, you may want to find a different hotel. You are paying for the name Hilton here. We stayed at a MicroHotel on the way that offered more than the Hilton.

Elegant comfort close to the sights

The room was an amazing surprise: there was a mini-kitchenette with granite counters, plush sofa and huge ottoman, large-screen HD t.v., 2 large picture windows, rainfall shower, comfy bed set with 800 thread count sheets that were like BUTTAH! There was a little street noise, but hey, it's D.C. The staff was very nice and efficient. I would stay again.
