Hotel was great. We arrive 4 hours before checkin and they accommodated us with a room that was actually better than the one we reserved. Only ding is for the wi-fi, it cost and many/most hotels offer it for free these days.

Good location, bit dated

This is a nice hotel if you're just looking for a clean place to lay your head. I have stayed here several times before when I am in DC for a quick trip. The service is good enough (really depends on who is behind the desk) and the location can't be beat (near Dupont Circle and within easy walking distance). Each time I have stayed over the weekend, I have been surprised by how loud other guests can be. One hotel employee explained to me that the hotel is popular with people who come in from the suburbs during the weekend to frequent the bars and clubs in the area. Not a big problem for me but just be aware that one the weekends you might experience people (most likely drunk) talking loudly in the halls as they make their way back to their rooms after a night out on the town!

Good location and staff

Beacon is located right next door to Philippine Embassy which was reason for my trip. Excellent location on Rhode Island and close to Connecticut, 16th, 14th, and Massachusetts. A 20 min walk to the Washington Mall and all of the monuments. Staff was very helpful and nice. Parking fee is a little high but no other option, no parking in D.C. Only problem was multiple outlets in the room didn't work, a challenge finding enough for recharging items etc. Room was very clean. A close walking distance to sites.

Great Location!

We booked a one night stay here to have a day/night out in Dupont Circle. Great location that was good walking distance to many places. The hotel looked great inside and out. Our room and bathroom were a decent size. We loved having the full length mirrored doors for the TV and having two separate his and hers closets. Would definitely come back again!

Wonderful Stay!

The Beacon was very accommodating. The room was clean and had everything we needed. e.g. blow dryer, iron, coffee, etc. We enjoyed dinner at the Beacon Bar and Grill and cocktails at the Beacon Sky Bar located on the roof. Additionally, we used their business center, which was easy to use and met our needs. The staff was friendly and helpful, opening and greeting us at the front entrance each time we entered and exited, offering any help or advice we might need. The staff arranged for transportation for us when needed. The room was always clean and stocked when we arrived back from our daily activities each evening. Great place!
