very well located, friendly staff, good either for business or leisure

Convenient to metro stations, shops, main streets, restaurants, spacious rooms, kitchen, hair drier, iron, friendly staff, check in and check out was fast. They do not have a pool but I believe they offer access to a fitness center nearby. Everything you need. Internet for a fee.

Need a little more to be perfect

The hotl location and surrounding area is woderful. It is close to the White House. The room was clean and not comfortable because we were unable to control the heat. The room temperature was 90°… The price for internet access is $12 per day. Parking is crazy every part of the city center. To park you will need an additional $35 a day. The staff are wonderful they make you forget the little stuff. They are the true star of this hotel, fabulous. With this level of service from the staff, free wi-fi and lower parking price I will rate this Hotel as amazing 5-star. Love it. Wold definitely recommend.

Outstanding Hospitality.

When we arrived at the Beacon Hotel we were cordially greeted by a very friendly staff. From the eager to help us with our bags out the cab doorman to the pleasant front desk staff. Our room was available for us well before check-in time also. When we arrived in our room we noticed that the temperature was much too high in the room. We went to go get lunch and let them know on the way out about the problem. It turned out the a/c was broken in the room. We expected to get another room and a few apologies. Instead, we got upgraded to their best suite. Keep in mind, our original room was the cheapest one. We had a plasma screen television and an electric fireplace. They even gave us a complimentary bottle of wine in the room waiting for us with an apology letter. The service was excellent and the rooms are amazing. If you are staying in dc I highly recommend this hotel.

Great Place Horrible Parking!!

We enjoyed staying at the Beacon Hotel and the staff was great. We felt that the location was very good and that we could walk to the sites with ease. This was our first time going to DC and the traffic was really bad and we had a hard time with parking. Our hotel had valet service but the lot was full so we used a garage down the street. We would use the Beacon again but are more aware of the parking and plan accordingly.
