Great staff

The Beacon Hotel was very nice. The staff was extremely nice. No complaints, except that the room could have looked a little better than what i paid for. It wasn't gross but there were little things that should have been taken care of. But overall an excellent stay, right in the middle of the city. Close to lots of different dining.

Most rooms are fine but you have to ask.

Each time I have stayed at the Beacon I have had a different sort of a room. Some are very upscale and roomy, while others are in a part of the hotel that is more timeworn. So be sure to ask for the kind of room you want. If you want a kitchen ask for it. There doesn't seem to be an extra charge. Also the air conditioners in the older rooms are quite noisy and make the room very cold. I will go back to this hotel. Very clean and convenient to lots. Really good business center.

To the mall, just be careful and watch the traffic signals before crossing the streets. Easy place to navigate and 1 building is more impressive than the next. The White House is in the center of everything, you can get anywhere from there, good meeting place.

Can beat it for the value and location

This is a great place to stay. Conveniently, located north of the White House, it is three blocks from Farragut North metro station. DuPont Circle is four blocks away, where there is a variety of restaurants to choose from. I ate at the hotel restaurant one night and found the food to be quite good. There is a happy hour at the hotel bar with drinks and appetizers reasonably priced. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful.

Best Kept Secret

The hotel is centrally located, near to all the action no matter what your taste and it is definitely a value for the money. Considering the major hotel chains in the area, I would definitely return to The Beacon Hotel. I can see it easily becoming a home away from home. It is safe, clean, comfortable and convenient ... what else does one need when on vacation? Not much at all. I'd definitely return, and I will soon.

There are quite few restaurants and side walk cafes in Dupont Circle which is merely a 5-7 minute walk from the hotel's front door. I had a selection of high end eateries or simple cafes, as well as a few familiar dining options ...

My review of Beacon Hotel and Corporate Quarters

The Beacon hotel was an excellent hotel for it's price. It's near two metro stop and Dupunt circle. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. There are a lot of dinning choices around the area. The neighborhood is safe, clean and quite. The room was very clean and big, it had a sleeper sofa in it. All and all an excellent hotel. I highly recommend it. The only thing is parking, but then again, it's like that everywhere else in D.C.
