Can beat it for the value and location
This is a great place to stay. Conveniently, located north of the White House, it is three blocks from Farragut North metro station. DuPont Circle is four blocks away, where there is a variety of restaurants to choose from. I ate at the hotel restaurant one night and found the food to be quite good. There is a happy hour at the hotel bar with drinks and appetizers reasonably priced. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful.

Business oriented
The hotel was clean and close to downtown, however, they were limited in dining and they had a definite problem with the air conditioner and the shower dial, we called several times. The room was very small and limited, we were put on the top floor in a nook. I would not recommend this hotel.

My review of Beacon Hotel and Corporate Quarters
The renovation team missed some spots, like the water damaged ceiling with a gap between the tiles in the bathroom.

Outstanding Hospitality.
When we arrived at the Beacon Hotel we were cordially greeted by a very friendly staff. From the eager to help us with our bags out the cab doorman to the pleasant front desk staff. Our room was available for us well before check-in time also. When we arrived in our room we noticed that the temperature was much too high in the room. We went to go get lunch and let them know on the way out about the problem. It turned out the a/c was broken in the room. We expected to get another room and a few apologies. Instead, we got upgraded to their best suite. Keep in mind, our original room was the cheapest one. We had a plasma screen television and an electric fireplace. They even gave us a complimentary bottle of wine in the room waiting for us with an apology letter. The service was excellent and the rooms are amazing. If you are staying in dc I highly recommend this hotel.

Room
The room smelled of smoke and they did not clean our room even after we returned at 6pm. We had to ask the front desk for maid service.
