A Week with teens in DC
The hotel staff was very welcoming and friendly. We walked or hopped the Metro, and saw DC from the National Zoo to Old Town. Once we returned to the hotel we fell into the most comfortable beds and awoke fresh for the next day. We had 2 queen beds and 4 people and did quite well in the space.

good location for outgoing people
It was walking distance to Union Station for metro access and bus service. Beautiful location but it doesn't match the photo above. The beds were ultra comfortable. Pricey food, didn't eat there. Party atomosphere in lobby - no problem. However, there was a late party on Sunday night that poured into the outside dining and that kept me awake well into the night. At 5 am the next day there were still party animals in the lobby.

Family vacation in DC
Rooms were small but clean and quiet. Pool was nice. Great location right next to the capital building. Did a lot of walking from the hotel but also used the metro train system from Union Station (took a while to figure out the ticketing system). Felt safe in the area around the hotel.

Great value and superb location
My and my grandfather traveled to sight see in Washington. We found the hotel to be nicely decorated, set in a great location that was very close to Union Station and had very soft beds. We took an open top sight seeing tour that had a pick up and drop off right outside our hotel door which was very helpful.

Dining tip:
Short walk from hotel
If you need a good breakfast and don't want to pay for the slightly overpriced hotel breakfast and don't want to wait in the starbucks line then if you walk out of the hotel and turn right, you walk down about 2 blocks and turn right again you'll see a sign for a quiznos down the street. Slightly next to this quiznos is a great little cafe that is open Monday-Friday, they serve a variety of breakfast food including a breakfast platter for 4.99 that has eggs, bacon, potatoes and 2 slices of toast. Can't beat that in DC

Trip to D.C.
When we arrived they were busy and understaffed - they did not have a record of our reservation with Orbitz which did elongate our check-in. While there it was a VERY busy hotel which has its positives and negatives. Positive, you could always get a cab! Negative - they did not have enough staff to handle everyone. The restaurant was a bit over-priced but good food. Upon check-out they had charged us for the rooms we had already paid for via Orbitz. This was a bit tedious - but they did take care of everything. Overall if the price was right we would stay there again.

Great location
The location is great, an easy walk to the Capitol and Union Station. The room was average in size but the beds were comfortable. The kids loved the "I-pod" pillows and the swimming pool. Nice that there was a lifeguard on duty. The furniture around the pool area as well as the lobby and lounge area was perfect for relaxing. The staff was friendly and helpful.
