Updated airport hotel with free shuttle, Wi-Fi and indoor/outdoor pool
About a mile from the airport with a free shuttle to and from, the Ramada - Bradley Airport hotel is one of the few full-service hotels in the town of Windsor Locks. Families love that restless kids swim any time of the year in the indoor heated pool. The connecting outdoor portion opens for seasonal fun. Order from a full breakfast menu in the restaurant, which becomes a sports bar and grill each afternoon. Early fliers pick up free coffee, tea and muffins in the lobby from 4:30 to 7:30 a.m. Hartford and Springfield, Mass., are a short drive away.

No Customer Service

I had ordered a refrigerator and microwave. Upon arrival we were told hotel sold out, we would get one in the am when other guests moved out. No fridge or microwave for four day stay. Only two towels in the room the first night which wasn't ready for a 10:30 pm check in. There were no towels left for night two and three. We had to chase for them and were told the hotel was sold out and there were no clean towels. Nice to find out after a long day at a trade show. It's too bad, too, as the room was spotless and had very comfortable beds. The front desk made promises they couldn't keep. Would stay there again but would bring my own towels.

Ramada complaints

1. On weekend mornings, dining room floor was filthy dirty. I would not eat there. When I complained I was told that they had a wild night the night before. Why wasn't it cleaned in time for breakfast? 2. Dining room waitress spent too much time sitting at the bar couinter talking to co-workers. 3. Chairs in my room were very un-comfortable when sitting for any length of time. 4.Free coffee in lobby was oftentimes gone and I had to ask for it a few different days.

Great for business or fun

The hotel is very convenient to the airport and close enough to Hartford to get into town for business, but far enough into the suburbs to be able to relax and enjoy the local community after the day's done. The in house restaurant is a big plus. The room was clean and comfortable and the staff was professional.

Would stay here again.

This is an average hotel but if fit my needs and my budget for a trip to see family. The experience at the hotel was comparable with the rate that I paid. The housekeeping staff was not only delightful but after I introduced myself, my room sparkled each day. Front desk staff that I encountered were a little rough around the edges at first but once I engaged them in conversation, became pleasant and helpful. They should start their encounters with the guests that way. Could the common areas be cleaner and more organized....yes. The breakfast in the restaurant was good and a great value but the morning staff should smile more. One order of pancakes and home fries could feed a family of four. Food cost must be high, but it's great for the paying customer! I wouldn't stay here if I wanted luxury but it was perfect for this trip.

Hurricane Irene

We were unable to get to the hotel because of the hurricane. They were very nice with canceling the reservation.

not to bad

Just used the hotel because close to airport and has shuttle service. For the price it wasn't bad. It's an old motor lodge at some point in its life and still has the feel and look. Room was clean but mold smells in bathroom. Eat at the sport grill and bar in lobby. Little to loud ... I was listening to the loud music and had to raise my voice over it at check in so she could hear me lol.

eh was ok no frills w/ reasonable value

the hotel was fine. no frills, but clean and staff was nice. the bar was great and if you know windsor, ct you know that there is nothing happening anywhere after hours. the experience was ok, and the price was reasonable.
