Don't Stay Here

This hotel needs to get its act together. The room was beautiful but overall I only recommend a day visit for this Casino. ... The hotel is far away from the gaming and shopping areas. The shops are mostly high end. I rarely saw anyone in them. The guest is only seen as a money generator. Some of the staff, with the exception of Room Service and Housekeeping were not friendly. I took the bus to get there. I was never directed to the hotel shuttle area when I arrived. My Mom and I were harrassed by casino security as we tried to make our way to the hotel with our bags through the casino. They could have directed us to the shuttle but did not. There is no proper communication between the Shuttle drivers and the Bell desk. When we left, the bell man wanted me to flag down the shuttle bus which was a distance away. They need walkie-talkies to tell the driver to wait for departing guests while their bags are retrieved. The shuttle bus driver did not help passengers with their bags. This is my first and last visit to this hotel. You can count on it!!!

Try the filet mignon at Tuscany. The pasta dishes are small and I do not recommend.

If you stay at this hotel, 12:30am they stop serving liquor at the bars. Apparently its CT state law, which defeats the purpose of having a good time and drinking while spending loads of cash on the slot machines.

What a gorgeous hotel and casino!
GM Jun 30, 2009
You know Mohegan Sun is good when we drive from south Jersey (about 90 minutes from Atlantic City) to go! The hotel room was ... gorgeous and the staff was so great. We ate at Tuscany, where I had an amazing filet mignon. I honestly had a great time there (even won some money)!

Great Stay!!
Mikey Mouse May 15, 2009
Very nice place, although i found that the parking lot was far away and we had to take a short trip on the shuttle back to ... the hotel. Downstairs they had many places to eat. The Buffet dinners are the best deal which the casino had 2 to choose from. My Room was very clean, and we had a very very nice view along with a very comfortable bed. Poolside bar makes great drinks!.

Few complaints
Margaret May 30, 2007
I am a very critical hotel guest. Light switch plates with fingerprints that show no one ever wipes them off make me crazy! ... No such complaints here. Room (and entire property) was immaculate, staff were friendly, helpful, attentive and responsive. Room was beautiful and we had a gorgeous view of the Thames River. My only complaint is that there are no exhaust fans in the bathrooms, which makes no sense, and we could hear all the activity in the adjacent room on the bathroom side of the room. Everything else was excellent, and for the price, which I thought was too high, it should have been! I say that with a caveat that when you go to stay at a Casino in the woods, you know what their agenda is...to keep you as comfortable as possible so you'll be inclined to spend more of your time and funds at their property. But that's ok, because you enter into it voluntarily.

Eat your big meal at lunch...longer lines at the dinner hour...more access to gaming during dinner hour too!

Great Weekend Getaway
Desiree May 21, 2007
The Mohegansun Hotel and Casino is by far the best hotel I have ever had the pleasure of spending the night. Although the ... price for the room is a little on the high side, you won't be disappointed with the courtesy of the staff or the dining selections offered to you. I didn't use the pool or spa, but I did check them out breifly and was amazed at how presentable everything was. I would definately recommend staying here to anyone looking for the complete package in a weekend getaway.
