Microtel, should be notell.
Was just a stop and drop hotel for the night so I didnt really need anything special and that is exactly what I got. Room was on the smaller side but not a big issue. TV is up in the corner behind a piece of wall that blocks unless you are in the perfect spot to watch. The bed was not bad and the noise was not unbearable. The staff was average. I would say the location is very good but for the price I will stay somewhere better next time in the same area.

Be sure to check your bill!!
They automatically charge you $1.50 per day for using the safe without inquiring if you actually used it. It may not be much, but multiply that by all their guests for the entire year and it is a quick way to make a buck. I can't believe that is legal! Aside from this, compared to the other hotels in Uncasville charging twice as much, I felt it was a decent value. Their coffee was much better than the NYC hotel I had been staying at the previous 4 days.

Pretty good
The front desk receptionist I had was horrible. I walked in, and he was filling something up with water behind me. I waited a minute or two before he even acknowledged me. When he walked back around no hi or anything, just a "what do you need" response. The price of the hotel was 10 bucks more than it said it would be, so I asked him why that happened. He said rates go up, not guarenteed. Just left it at that. By this time I was very upset and wanted to sleep since I didn't check in til a little after midnight. The room was small, but the bed was cozy, had everything I needed. Can't really complain for what I got next to the casino... just wish I had a better front desk person.

trip to casino
Perfect location. Jim was there to shuttle us anytime from 5-1am. He was a wealth of knowledge about the casino, resteraunts etc. Comfortable room. Can't beat the price.

a convenient hotel for visitors to the mohegan sun
A very nice and quiet hotel with extremely helpful staff. they provided us with a shuttle bus service that picked up and dropped us off at the mohegan sun at our convenience. would recommend.
