Stamford Marriott Hotel & Spa

My staying at the hotel was a good experience, i loved the few of the city of stamford from the 9th floor. What i did not like was their pricing on food. I ordered breakfast, and for one small damon yogurt that i can purchase at stop and shop for less then $2 was $4. RIDICULOUS.

We were only up in Stamford for a night. The hotel was easy to find-- just 2-3 turns off the highway-- and was across from a nice mall, which was convenient. The room was quite nice and clean, and the stand-up shower was a step up from the usual bathtub setting. We didn't really take advantage of the amenities, so I couldn't say much about them.

A number of dining options in walking distance. Close to 95. Can here the cars from room.

The Agora Spa was lovely - small and not a fully equiped facility but the ambiance was peaceful. The first glitch was the king bed in our room - for two girl friends on a mom's getaway. The front desk told us that bed type choices were not guaranteed for Orbtiz customers. Apparently, no rooms with 2 double beds were available! The DVD we rented skipped and were saw a minte of green cubes and no sound eveny 5 minutes - the front desk said they would "consider" taking the charge off of the bill! Far wordt of all - I got food poisoning (know this was the spot because vomiting started 7 hours after eating here with no food in between)from the buffet breakfast!!!

They got me right from the minute I parked $12per day.should be told up front.then the first room I got heard nothing but banging from the room above call front desk to change rooms no answer have to go down. get new room all is better intill that night dog barking all night.In the morning go to check out the pool hot tub sunna.sunna not thier no showers hot tub filled in with concret outdoor part off pool closed on a great day. go for buffet sunday morning 8am all you could hear was power saws from construction next door in the hotel 8am sunday!!!! this hotel couldn't give a dame about custumers falsely advertised over priced.never again.I stay in better for $50 a night!!!

We truly enjoyed our stay at the Stamford Marriott! The room was very nice and the staff was great. We will stay here again.

Hotel was Okay, good location off Highway. When I checked in the Shower had not been cleaned. Said something to staff...nothing happened. Next day didn't get my towels back that were taken that were dirty..didnt' have enough towels...said something again about the cleaning of the room...so they cleaned it twice the same day .... no communication. I checked out and was charged three days later for a "bottle of water" that I never used, but was in the bathroom shelf the day I checked in and was still there when I checked out.... obviously the maid didn't check ....so probably the person before me was charged and so was I and they never replaced the original bottle. When I called to tell them about the mistake two days later....got put on hold for 20 minutes...then called back.,..got hung up on....called back 10 min on hold...then called back...tried manager was hung up on again....called again finally got manager and she took care of it....seemed nice.. not sure I would go back

My son was attending a chess tournement @ a nearby hotel and I wanted an outdoor pool with an area for sunbathing . Hot tub was not open and there was an extra charge for using the sauna . Hotel restaurant had a very limited menue which was grossly overpriced . ($8.00 for a bowel of ice cream ).Lobbey snack shop was also excessivly overpriced . .

Overall very good, had a bad experience @ breakfast on my last morning. Slow service waited 15 mins . to get served , poor english with the waiter, could not understand that I would like scrambled eggs on the side eventuallly I walked out. Thank god the starbucks was there. The coffee served in the restaurant was horrible. Overall a very good experience but it is expensive.
