Courtyard by Marriott Stamford Downtown

I would like to say that my stay here was really good. My husband and myself enjoyed the fact that there were so many nice resturants plus a movie theater all within walking distance. The inside of the hotel is very intimate and comfortable. We are looking to spend this weekend there again just to hang out and go to the movies. The only thing I would've liked would of been some kind of breakfast/dinner package deal.:)

It's across the street from Barcelona (restaurant/bar) and we had a good-sized and clean room. The staff we're ok, although the valet service was pretty terrible. We were there for a wedding, and found that at least 3 of the 6 cars in our party were lost at some point during the 1 night stay. I would stay there again, but would call down to the valet about 30 minutes before I want to leave just to be safe. The rooms with a terrace/ balcony look like they'd be a great time, and don't seem that much more expensive. Also, most rooms seem to have a mini fridge, and we brought our own refreshments for after the bars closed.

It was the perfect location, we were able to grab a bite right across from the hotel and not have to worry about spending money on a cab. The staff was not the friendliest...but the rooms were beautiful & warm!

It was just a place to sleep........Checked in at 9pm and left at 9am after a pleasant breakfast in the hotel dining room. More than adequate for that purpose.

4 year-old hotel that is in great shape, ideal location, great price.

I was pleasantly surprised by the hotel's location, especially its placement so near to several very good restaurants. I say this because my date and I had developed an itinerary that would have removed us from the hotel and locality, but because it rained during most of our stay, we dashed our plans, choosing to remain within the city bounds of Stamford. We found a theatre that featured the latest movies available; cuisine from Indian to Italian to Vietnamese;a shopping mall within a mile of the hotel; and a sense that we were really at home, away from home. My date and I agreed that this location did not disappoint. Where else can a freshly minted couple go, experience rain, but yet find enough to do within a half mile of the hotel itself. I would return to this city and to this hotel in a flash!

This Courtyard Marriott is consistent with many others, except that its downtown Stamford, CT location was handy for my business needs. It does not have the continental breakfast setup as many do, but Napa, Inc. is a restaurant connected to the main lobby entrance which provides excellent dinners and breakfast (which I experienced) and, I assume, lunches too. Room service appeared to be available, although I didn't try it.

The hotel staff was very friendly - It was close to bars, restuarants & Target. Parking in the hotel was reasonable compared to surrounding parking lots.

The hotel is located in the center of town so there is a lot to enjoy after work. There are many resturants, shops and movie theaters within a block of the hotel. The hotel itself has a very nice lounge with free wireless. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The only downside was that the internet connection was a bit slow (too slow to use Google maps) and that there is no onsite gym. I highly recommend it to the business traveller who does not want to be cooped up in the hotel after work.
