I expected a higher level of cleanliness
I chose the Holiday inn express for it's easy access to Rt 84 and the expectation of cleanliness. The location off of RT 84 could not be beat. The hallways and the room reaked of smoke even in a non smoking room. Once the lights were on you could see the place wasn't really clean including the sink top. Being so late we worked with it, if it had been earlier in the evening I would have left. I wouldn't use the place again.

The Wood Tap was a great evening snack and sports atmosphere. The staff was friendly and bar food and drinks were great.

Holiday Inn Near Lake Compounce
This hotel had friendly service, good clean rooms and was conveniently located. The hotel is situated right off I-84, a short drive to Lake Compounce. The complimentary breakfast was good.

VISITING RELATIVES
It was in a great location right off the highway, it was very clean and well kept. The staff was friendly and the hot breakfast was pretty good. We'd definetly stay there again..

We could not wait to get away and everything was great except our room. [...] The room was not very clean and we had pubic hair in the bathroom. the walls were so paper thin that you could here the tv in the next room. Forget breakfast will not stay here again!!!!!!!!!!!!

Would go back in a heart beat
Came to visit friends and went to Six Flags in MA. This hotel was a great place to come back and relax. Enjoyed the complimentary breakfast.

Good visit
Excellent continental breakfast. Good selection and good dining area. Staff was very cordial and helpful. The work area and internet were very good. The bed was very comfortable with a selection of pillows.

Great value - not a lot of choices in the immediate Southington area - we were very pleased with the location as it was up off the main thouroughfare but still central to the Plainville, CT area that we were visiting. Also, the hotel was decorated very nice for the holiday season.
