Very nice staff and the shuttle was great the Room was very clean and it was only a 3 minute ride to the casino

The hotel is starting to get run down and is in desperate need of some paint. The room was poorly cleaned; not disgusting but not spectacular. The sheets and the carpet were stained and the shower had mold around the edge of the tub. Not sure if I'd stay here again. I do have to say the location is a short distance from the casino and the shuttle is always appreciated.

I would only recommend this hotel if you need a place to rest your head for the night. The pool is nothing as it looks in the pictures (as we should have known). In fact it looked so bad we chose not to go in and head back to the room. The room was pretty clean but nothing extravagent. The front desk was polite and helpful but didn't really ask for much. If your going to visit Mohegan Sun then I would suggest doing a little research as there are some hotels closer to the casino than this one. The hotel does offer complimentary shuttle rides to the casino but the last shuttle returning to the hotel is at 1:45 and fills up pretty quickly. They had 1/2 price appetizers at the sports bar located within the hotel on the day we were staying so I guess you could save a little money on food incase you don't walk away from the casino with as much as you might have thought you were. Once again if you don't plan to be in the hotel or room much, then the hotel is ok, otherwise I would recommend looking elsewhere.

Arrival/Front Desk ServiceWe arrived at the Holiday Inn around 4:00pm. There was quite a long line of people waiting to check-in. However, it was a speedy process and the front desk personnel were funny and helpful ([...] was funny). We got the keys to our room and went up to the 5th floor. It was a little discouraging because the whole floor REEEKED like cigarette smoke, so clearly it wasn't a smoke free floor, but our room did not have that same smell. The RoomThe room was decent sized but the bathroom was really small. It was hard for two people to be in it at the same time doing hair/getting ready. THE BED WAS SOOOO COMFY!!! I slept like a baby and my other two guests did too. The room was clean and was worth the money.The PoolThe pool is open from 6am-10pm. The pool is heated and was a good time. There were a lot of kids unsupervised which was annoying, but overall the pool was relaxing. The BarThe bartender was a sweetheart! I can't remember her name, but she was a blonde woman with an accent. She was great and chatted with all 3 of us. The drinks were medium-strong for alcohol content which in my opinion, is a good thing! The shuttleThe shuttle service was most convenient because we went to Mohegan Sun. The shuttle driver ([...]) was AWESOME! He got us there is no time (literally...) and was a great staff member. The staff is willing to work with you if you miss the shuttle and they will not leave you there stranded even if its after hours. (I found that out by talking to the driver).What's around?Norwich offers a variety of things to do and so do the surrounding towns. Mohegan sun and Foxwoods are moments away from the hotel and there are bunch of places to eat near by (99 restaurant, tons of fast food, and subway are some i saw on the way to Mohegan on the shuttle). I have been to Mystic Aquarium before which is a great time, but I didnt go on this trip.ServiceThe hotel staff was great and helped us out promptly with everything including directions and towels. OVERALLI enjoyed my stay here immensly. I will definitely come back to this hotel when I go to Mohegan Sun- it cost WAY less than staying on the property and its literally 5 mins away. Loved the staff, and the room was great for the price.

The hotel was clean, also king bed was very comfortable. Pool looked great but didn't stay long enough to enjoy. For the money it was great. Shuttle to Mohegan was convenient except the shuttle didn't come back when it was supposed to therefore we had to pay for taxi after waiting outside for 45 minutes

everything was in order and the staff responded to our needs.

Hotel met my expectation. It was not lavish but cost only 1/5 of what the Mohegan Sun hotel was charging. Did not try the shuttle, very easy to get from the casino and back to hotel approx 5 minute ride.

Easy and quick check-in. Went to the bar with my wife for a few drinks before we headed to the Casino. Bartender was very friendly. Short ride to the Mohegan Sun on Holiday Inn shuttle, excellent friendly driver. Very clean and spacious room. Will definitely return again.

10 minutes from Mohegan Sun Casino.I reserved a smoking room and was given a non-smoking room,but, they made good on their error when I checked out.They cancelled my room service and movie rental bill for $35.00.(That made me happy).

We did not have the best experience, the in-room movies did not work and the problem was not taken care even though we were there for a couple of days during the week. A tech could have been called and since there was a prom and bachelor/bachelorette party we could not be changed to a different room. The parties were held in the lobby so there was all kinds of drinking and smoking around the lobby and right in the entrance, my kids had to walk by this two nights. There was not enough parking to house that many people at the party. The refridgerator did not work in the room and housekeeping did not clean our room the first night then did not vaccuum the second night. When we reported the movies were not working the problem was not communicated to the next shift to have a tech repair it. The hotel was not located close to any good shops, but a Mall wa about a 20 minute drive. There was a bunch of fast food joints nearby and a Walmart that closed early. The kids liked the pool though, what kid wouldn't. No continental breakfast, sorry I cannot give a better review.
