Crisp clean and convenient

My husband and I stayed at the New Haven Hotel last weekend and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The staff was welcoming and well-informed about restaurants ,etc; the room was spotless--not fancy but certainly adequate; and the location was a short walk to Yale's campus. An added bonus was the ease of parking. We would absolutely stay there again.

very nice stay

Went to New Haven for a night to hang out with some friends. This hotel seemed to have the best price for the area it was in. Our room was very clean and the beds were nice and comfortable. The area was pretty quiet with a lot of nightlife within a few blocks. If I come back to New Haven I will definitely stay here again. FYI - parking is not included, but is convenient at the parking garage across the street for $18/night added to the room fee.

great in-town stay in new haven

better than we had hoped! very comfortable beds, well-appointed room with desk and comfortable chair, huge TV, large bathroom, etc. Never tried the restaurant however. Delightful place, very convenient location! we came to new haven for a family wedding.

Nice location, but service lacking

Hotel is nicely appointed following its recent upgrades. But i was a bit disappointed with the service. I got several bites one night in bed and reported them to the desk clerk the next day...she promised to follow up but never did. Also, when you took a shower, you were often subjected to drastic changes in temperature of the water when someone on your floor flushed th toilet...very disconcerting. The parking was handy...and the breakfast buffet was a good bargain. But I'm not sure I would stay there again.

Not boutique, but definitely charming !

Nice outlook, impressing lobby. Clean and modernly decorated rooms. Nice restaurant. Poor car access no valet parking, no door-bagage service. If you have heavy luggage forget about it... steps in front of an elevator. etc....
