Holiday Visit

We visited our daughter in Hartford and had a very nice, two night, stay at the Hartford Hilton. The rooms were clean and pleasant and the hotel staff couldn't have been friendlier. The lobby was decorated for the season and the fire was toasty. We were about to walk to the theater from our hotel and to a four star restaurant on Christmas Eve to meet friends. We would certainly go back.

made for a nice weekend.

traveling for a wedding, appreciated the super soft and comfy beds and bedding, primo bath amenities and decent sized room. brought a cot for unexpected guests at no charge - very helpful! hot breakfast buffet was yummy. restaurant and bar onsite were decent too! validated overnight parking and somehow got it for free. in the middle of downtown, walking distance to convenient stores and restaurants. easy to get to from the airport (take the bradley flyer!)

Take the Bradley Flyer from the airport to downtown Hartford - save yourself the cab fare. Very easy and convenient, and costs less than what you have in your pocket.

Good job

Even though we were using the convention center all weekend and it was several blocks away, they had the Star Shuttle running extra all weekend. This made is much easier. The room was comfortable and clean. We were easily able to get a mini fridge upon request to store refrigerated medications. The only problem we had was that they tried to charge us for the entire weekend of parking when we only parked there one night. Since they refunded me, I wouldn't have mentioned it except they did the same thing the last time we stayed there. Almost as if they think some people won't notice. I did specifically tell them that we would not be parking there all weekend when we arrived as well.

Money-saving tip: Short walk from hotel

If you're going to the convention center for something, it's much cheaper to stay at the Hilton than the Marriot and there's the Star shuttle stop right across the street to get you there for free.

Parking?

The room and service was great, however, they charge $18 a day to guests to park their car? That's a first.
