Groton trip

The rooms were nicely equipped, and the amenities were adequate, although the breakfast room was fairly outdated and felt a bit like a dungeon.

Clean place to stay

Desk clerk was so knowledgeable and willing to help in any way. Room was clean and continental breakfast was fantastic. The only negative was I think they need a chlorine test kit for their whirlpool because it was a little on the strong side.

Better than expected!!

After reading some of the ratings I didn't expect much out of the place but I felt it would be good enough for a few nights. But when I got there the staff was very welcoming, room clean and a few little extras I'm not used to seeing in hotels that I havestayed at. The indoor pool was nice and the Jacuzzi next to it was hot and wonderful. The only negatives would've been our phone in the room didn't work but was fixed right away. Also a small leak in the wall next to the breakfast/conference room that they plan to fix after the weekend rush they inform me.

Ramada Groton

This hotel was okay for the money. We really didn't spend that much time in the room, just to sleep. The hottub was broken so we didn't use the pool. Nothing fancy but it worked for us.

Adequate . . .

Although we only slept at the hotel, and found it nice that there was a clean swimming pool (we did not use), clean breakfast room with a decent breakfast offereing, and clean hotel rooms, it's that little attention to details we found disturbing. Cigarette buttes on and around the entrances, pieces of trash which had not been picked up and disposed of on the property, somewhat sloppily made beds, rickety desk chairs, overall on-the-verge-of-rundown appearance - little things which didn't affect our stay, but could have made a vastly different impression. Overall, the hotel was adequate but nothing to brag about. We were impressed with the abundance of pillows provided! The location was convenient to both Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun - about equal distance to each although shuttle service to and from the casinos was not offered - a taxi service was available for a 'set price' (affordable). With the room pricing we got, it was a good value for the money, but for only a few bucks more, we might have found something a little more desirable had we been more familiar with the area and what it offered.

Cold

This hotel was cold. They say they were pet friendly but almost kicked us out because when staff knocked on door my dog started barking when I was out and they almost kicked us out I had to board him for the rest of my stay which is not what I wanted to do.

Groton Ramada

When checking in the staff was less than friendly, almost rude.Room was ok, clean would not give adjoining rooms even though we had young children that needed their own room.During second day the room above us flooded and water leaked into our room.Staff offered different room but we declined, I suggested a discount on our room they declined.
