As seductive as the rooms are at the DELAMAR, eventually guests must venture out. When they do they find themselves in the most affluent city in America, also known as the Gateway to New England. Home to more than 600 retail stores and some of America’s finest restaurants. Greenwich Avenue has become a popular shopping destination, often referred to as the East Coast’s Rodeo Drive. The DELAMAR is mere steps away from the Bruce Museum, which boasts a fine collection as well as hosting concerts, lectures and special traveling exhibitions. Picturesque Island Beach is 10 minutes away by ferry – caught within steps of the DELAMAR’s terrace - and nearby Bruce Park has tennis courts along with jogging and biking trails.
This is DELAMAR's elegant Mediterranean restaurant located on the water. L'escale serves an inventive Provencal menu in an atmosphere that captures the warm sun, the sea breezes and evocative scents of France. The restaurant enjoys an extensive outdoor terrace for in-season alfresco dining and has a spacious lounge decorated with Louis XVI-style armchairs covered in vivid red, pink and orange linen, serving their own specialty cocktails with a spectacular view over the water.
The DELAMAR has a beautiful boardroom with state of the art audiovisual equipment and seats comfortably 12 people in leather chairs. In addition there is 2000 square feet of ballroom / meeting space available with a large terrace on the water and a beautiful view of the Greenwich Harbor.

Our trip was a romantic anniversary getaway. The service was friendly and forthcoming. There are original art pieces all over ... the hotel! There was a piano player and complimentary wine and cheese in the early evening. There were many restaurants (varying in price)in the area as well as high end clothing, furniture, and home decor stores. We took a 45-minute bike ride around Bruce Park and the residential are near the hotel. There were pretty grassy ares to rest and a duck pond. One has the option of renting a yacht for a special occasion.

Very Accomodating

When we first arrived at the hotel to check in at 3:00 P.M., our room was not ready, so they assigned us a different room. ... That room was not yet made up when we were taken to it. So the hotel upgraded our room for free and gave us a lovely room on the harborside of the hotel with a balcony. It was beautiful. Although we were a little frustrated that the first room we went to was not ready, the upgrade in room more than made up for this inconvenience. We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in the Greenwich area. It's lovely and the staff is very friendly. Plus the fabulous L'escale restaurant is on the property.
