Don't plan a July 4th getaway here. Their fireworks are apparently scheduled for the FOLLOWING weekend as part of a RiverFest, meaning most businesses/bars/shops were closed. There are many public art displays free of charge within walking distance.

This hotel was not very good. My room smelled very bad. I was uncomfortable sleeping in the bed because I had that feeling ... like it wasn't very sanitized. It was so bad, that in order to get warm water in the shower, I had to put the faucet on cold, and for cooler water, I had to put the faucet on warm. Just a terrible experience, and I don't recommend it.

I stayed at this hotel while visiting friends, did not spend much time at the location. The room was clean, quiet, ... well-maintained. I mentioned to the General Manager that the tag on the neck of the bottled water was in very small print, declaring that " There will be a $4.00 charge added to your bill if this water is consumed." Quite tacky. Upon returning to my room that evening, there were two complimentary bottles of water with a friendly note from the General Manager. Management is responsive to guests. Great Speakman shower heads. I would stay at this hotel again.

Fitness Center and Pool were not personally used, though I overheard 2 other guests rave favorably about the Pool. ... Attractions in Hartford were mostly within a mile radius of the hotel. Very easy to walk to. Staff was very friendly, and knowledgable about the area. It is an older building, but has been maintained as best as possible.

I choose this hotel because I have stayed at a Sheraton Hotel in the past and loved the "Sleep Perfect Bed" This bed was not ... comfortable. The bed was hard and the pillows were way to flimsy. I would not recommend this place for the beds. The staff was friendly and helpful, but lets face it...a good night sleep is a must on vacation.

This hotel was nicer than I expected for the price. My room was large, clean and the bathroom was spotless. The indoor pool ... was really nice as was the outdoor seating areas. I would recommend this to a friend.

The Sheraton was very business friendly. I had no problems with the staff, the room etc. There was no hassel at check in ... or out. Very comfortable stay.
