Severely over- priced

I was checked in by the Manager of this hotel. She Was extremely welcoming. I think the hotel is overpriced. The rooms are due for a renovation. Went down to lobby around 11 at night and was accosted by the Front desk clerk Janet. Before I go any further I will say I kinda looked a wreck... Had just gotten out of pool hair was all over the place. But this hotel has NO vending machines you have to purchase items from the store in the lobby. So I go to purchase drinks and clerk immediately begin to ask what room was I staying because she didn't remember me being a guest. I explained that I was but situation became uncomfortable. Why, I don't know what her problem was. Needless to say I checked out the next morning and booked a reservation with spring hill suites and was treated like a queen. Will not stay here again due to Janet's attitude

The Hotel Is Excellent Except For $75.00 (+ Tax) Pet Fee!

We enjoyed our stay and found the hotel excellent - a great buffet breakfast is provided compared with average stops these days. Our only gripe was the $86.00 Fee for our Poodle. The ORBITZ AD states that the Marriott welcomes pets "with open arms." This is true provided you pay the pet fee of $75.00 (+ Tax of $11.00)... Otherwise, pets are not welcome "with open arms." ORBITZ Should Publish The Pet Fee On Their ADS!

Plug in room deodorizer

I opened the door of my room and was overcome with the smell of vanilla from a plug in room deodorizer and it only got worse from there. I opened the window and unplugged the deodorizer trying to clear out the overpowering smell to hear the sound of the heater start. The noise from the heater was so loud I couldn't believe they would give someone a room like this. I called the front desk to hear I'm sorry but we don't have any other rooms, I called back 2 more times to get someone from maintenance to come look at the heat. When maintenance finally got there they agreed that the noise was extremely loud but he didn't have a key for the utility room so he was not going to be able to do anyting. The utility room is located inbetween the livingroom area and the bedroom, there was no escaping the noise.

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

I will say that located directly next to the Residence Inn is a fantastic restaurant Chucks. They specialize in Steaks and have one of the best salad bars I have ever eaten at in my life. Don't pass the opportunity to dine at Chucks you truly will not be disappointed.
