Thanksgiving Stay

Great location to my sister-in-law's house. Yopu can't beat the price for the ameneties. It's pet friendly, however, I wasn't told by this website that there was a $25/nt pet fee. No worries, even with the fee, it was a great value. The breakfast buffet was great, although the staff service was a bit pedestrian. I'd stay agian.

A hotel from Yesterday

not a bad hotel, but a bit tired although still elegant, what was surprising was that they put us in the section where pets were allowed without telling us and my husband is allergic to dogs -- he could hardly breath the whole night and we didn't know why until we heard dogs barking.

great for 1990

Tube tv's ? really? i'm sure it's an expensive upgrade but it's been many years since they've been out in the market. The place was neat, the bartender Robert, and one of the front desk girls was nice other one, not so much. I like to be greeted with a smile and it seemed like she would've rather avoid everyone if at all possible.

Disappointed

The room which was a king suite was dissappointing. The amenities were dated. For the price which was well over $250 a night we just expected more! Won't be staying there again anytime soon!

Ethan Allen Hotel

We were celebrating my birthday by visiting our old college town and while it was memorial day weekend we expected there to be a lot more going on. Maybe we went to the wrong places. The service at dinner at the hotel was very slow. The lack of a hot tub was disappointing but we did have a good time overall. The room was nice, clean, and welcoming.

Frustrating Stay

Stayed here for a wedding. Being in the wedding party, a lot of things were time sensitive. The most frustrating thing was that the keys would stop working after one or two uses, or none if kept near a cell phone. Which made me late for the limo, my girl friend late for the shuttle etc. After trekking all the way to to room via the out of the way elevators, you have to come all the way back down and wait in line to get a new key made that will hopefully work for more then one use. The in-room keureg machine didn't work, and the "2" tvs are from the 1980's and 90's and were very poor reception. Come to realize at 1 am that the shower doesn't work either. the handle is broken. Go to the front desk, they send the night guard up to check it. He says its working, called the bluff and met him in the room. He was only able to replicate the water working by breaking the handle off and pulling with both hands to pull the knob out. Needless to say that is not what i would consider working. So at 230am switched rooms. The whole stay was annoying and frustrating, luckily i was with friends to distract me from the irritation.
