Great Getaway

It was perfect for our weekend getaway, because there weren't too many guests there this time of year. We were close to everything, but not in the middle of town. The room was comfortable and clean and the hot tub was great! It would have been great with kids too.

a place to lay your head

Lots of physical damage to the hotel, floors warped, bathrooms had poor layout, to sit on toilet, your back and side hit the sink vanity, poor water pressure, tiny rooms. For a newer hotel, already lots of evidence of leaks, poor repairs, glad I didn't have to spend any time in the room other than to sleep.

Location Great for Winter But.....

It was really just a place to lay my head at night. There was no AC in the hotel rooms and just my luck there was a heat wave. The room/bathroom was clean. Its location was right across the road from the Winter Park Ski Resort. Since it was summer, I was just staying there to bike/hike. Good trails were within reach of the hotel.

Sightseeing tip: Short drive from hotel

In addition to biking/hiking, there looked to be good trout fishing in the streams around town. Several people were fly fishing in the Fraser River.

Winter park mountain lodge

This hotel was not very good, we paid more for the room to have air conditioning only to arrive and find out that we were given the cheaper room. When we mentioned this to the front desk the guy said it was not his problem because we did not make a transaction through the hotel. We asked the guy if it was a room with air and he said he wasn't sure. The checkin and checkout times also inconvenient.

Nice Weather

Hot Tub could have used a scrub down, pool was nice, friendly front desk staff and wish there could have been a better view from the room. The bar had bad service.

Great Stay!

Great place to stay in the summer to see Rocky Mountain national park. The Lodge is way less money than staying in Estes Park or any where north of the park. Nice pool, large hot tub, nice sauna felt good after a day hiking in the park. The lodge is older but clean. It almost had an 80s feel to it, which I loved. we ate at the restaurant good food whith cheap prices the special was burger fries and a brew for $8 the burger was big and good! there home beer brewed on location was good $2 during happy hour. I would stay at the lodge again!

Beautiful room for the price.

We enjoyed the room and location, but felt uncomfortable that there was no staff on duty at the front desk overnight. Only a phone at the desk in case of a problem, and late check-in and for check-out in the morning.
