Not the greatest....
The hotel was deserted....even the staff! The kids loved it.....had the pool to themselves. However, the hottub was out of order and there was not an exercise facility as advertised. The restaurant was closed. The hotel was left unlocked well into the night and the front desk was closed! Except upon checkin we did not see one employee the entire stay....even at checkout!

Decent stay
Went for Memorial Day up to Winter Park. Nice town, quaint, and best of all - not busy. More like a ghost town in late May.However, this ghost town feel also was at this hotel. We checked in at 6pm on Sunday, and that was "after hours" (the clerk had gone home for the evening), so we had to drive to another location 5 minutes away and check in, then return. No one on staff at the other location knew the wireless code, so we couldn't use that amenity, and the [...]reservation was not known to them when we got there 2 hours after making the reservation. The hotel's hot tubs were "offline", so that was another perk we couldn't enjoy.Overall, a decent hotel stay, especially considering the low price, but I suppose this is their off season, and they skimp on the details in their off season because they have few patrons staying there and they probably can't afford staff.I would probably try another hotel another time going back, this was a little odd.

Short drive from hotel
Up the road in downtown winter park there are gas stations. The one on the North edge of town had a nice little market; saved a lot on dinner with the family.

Be Careful About This Property!
Before arriving and based on the hotel photos, we anticipated an enjoyable stay. Arrived at 8:30 pm to find no staff, front counter or otherwise and a dark lobby. Needed to go to a separate property to get room key and staff there couldn't give us the room we'd paid for and lacked any information on our reservation. We bought a mountain view and got a parking lot view of the dumpster. What a poor arrival experience! At the hotel, parking lot was pitch black with no lights, secured doors were broken and our room door had a broken inside security closer. No restaurant, threadbare carpet in halls, beaten up walls and the overall look of a mediocre chain hotel fallen on hard times. So, a mountain setting to look forward to and nothing but disappointment afterward. Think twice before booking.
