Great location for the price

Fraser Crossing is across the street from Zephyr Mountain Lodge. It was so convenient to be able to walk across the street straight onto the slopes, without paying the price of "ski in ski out". The fireplace in the room was a wonderful extra element and the kitchenette was fully equipped so you could eat in your room your entire trip. It was upscale modern decor and comfort. We stayed 3 nights and there was no housekeeping service included, which was fine for us but may be something of note for families with kids. The underground parking was well worth the money. Our room view was simply the courtyard (we had the most basic room) but the views from the front of the building weree spectacular! We will definitely stay here again in future trips to Winter Park either in the summer or winter!

We tend to eat relatively cheap (i.e., no appetizers, water to drink, no desserts, etc.) but we were pushing it to stay within $80 per day for 2 adults breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Buy your own food at Safeway and cook in your room or budget way more than expected for food.

Great Value! Family Friendly!!

I have nothing negative to report. The hotel was fabulous! Great location, easy access to food, skiing, shopping... There is a hotel courtesy shuttle to take you around town and to the grocery store so you do not need a vehicle. The food in the area was great. There is plenty to do in the village including ice skating. Would definitely stay there again! Please be advised, most shops in the village were closed by 7pm.

Not Very Resort Like!

I was expecting a higher end establishment than what this was based on the ratings and their web site. What it really is is two buildings crammed against a hillside next to Winter Park Resort. Being so close to the village was nice but the facilities were low budget. We had to go to another hotel to check in for ours since it doesn't even have a check-in lobby. The room was spacious enough and did have a nice, small balcony overlooking the village and the ski mountain. But, the only toiletries were soap and a shampoo/conditioner combo. No lotion! I called the front desk (at the other resort, no doubt) and they said they'd bring some up but I never got any. There was also no hair dryer in the master bathroom. Seriously? No hair dryer? Even Motel 6 has blow dryers. Then, in the morning, I discovered there were no tea bags for the coffee maker. How much could that possibly cost to provide? There was no pool, no work out facilities, no restaurant, no visible employees. It felt like this place was the [*] of the village. If you are a big family looking for cheap place close to the village, this is the place but if you want more comfort and amenities look elsewhere.

Carver's for breakfast is a must! Home made everything, great service. Located in the town of Winter Park. If you go on Sunday, get there before 9:15 or face a long wait.

Ski Resort in Summer

Floors are a U shape with elevator at only one side of the top of the U. Unfortunately, we were in the opposite U so we had to walk about 300 yards around the entire floor to get to our room. There is also no AC but usually the high is only 75 but we were there during a heat wave of 85. Room itself was great. Big bed, comfortable, big bathroom, HD TV. Most nearby shops were closed for the season so selection was limited. Great price for the summer and there was almost no one in the place.

Winter Park in the Summer

It's a very nice location, very clean, and contemporary living accomodations. I'm tired of those ratty rustic mountain hotels and whatnot that look like your grandmother decorated it, so this fit the bill for my girlfriend and me. Clean, easy, and relaxing, and modern with flat screen TV and the balcony was big and roomy.

Cozy and clean!

Our experience was great. We have a 3 and a 6 year old who stayed on the fold out bed and thought it was great. We did the alpine slide which was right across the street. We ate at two of the restaurants and the food was yummy. It was wonderfully relaxing!
