Great Denver Vacation
Jim Oct 1, 2009
Hotel was very nice. Clean and in a beautiful semi remote location, but with 15 min from many attractions. We went to a ... Broncos footbal game (15-20 min from the stadium), went to Estes Park and walked the river walk. We saw Elk just roaming the town and got some awesome pictures. Estes was about 30- 40 minutes from the hotel. We also took a trip to Golden, for the Coors Brewerey tour. Its a free tour and very cool, especially the beer sampling at the end!! Golden is also 15- minutes away. The Butterfly Conservatory is just across the highway from the Westin. We never made the Denver zoo but it is also close. My family and I have taken many trips and this one ranks in the top 3 or 4.

great weekend getaway
weekend traveller Sep 28, 2009
my husband and I came for the weekend prior to a business trip of mine. we needed a low-key, no agenda vacation, so the ... Westminster Westin was perfect - plenty of stuff to do and see if that's what we chose. we did do some site-seeing, but really enjoyed the close restaurants and the especially the hotel patio. there were lots of walking trails around, so bring your walking/hiking shoes. internet service is free in the lobby, but $9.95 per day in the rooms so I was glad to have a wireless USB.

Westin Westminster - Sept 10th 2009
blazer777 Sep 16, 2009
Very smooth check in and the staff from the doorman to the front desk were very friendly and informative. The room was large ... but for some reason, they put a treadmill in the room as they call it a work-out room, and no, it was not the in-house gym. This is a large treadmill and it did take up some space. The facility is very clean and is kept up well. Even though they were busy with events, the staff was eager to help when needed and the rooms were very quiet.

Plenty or restaurants right across the street. There are more restaurants up in Broomfield which is a short drive to 120th ave. Target and other stores are close by as well. Papers are in the lobby each morning and not delivered to your door.

Westin in Westminster, Colorado
GrammyGuk Sep 9, 2009
First of all, the setting is gorgeous. When you first walk into the lobby, you know you're in a first class hotel. The decor ... is lovely and fits in well with the surrounding atmosphere. The staff is so very polite and friendly. Our room was perfect, facing the spectacular Rocky Mountains. The beds? Wow! From the linens to the mattress what more could you want? Very clean and modern. The restaurant, though pricey, was worth it-this is not your ordinary hotel restaurant-they have a true well known chef. The only thing I wish is that they would have a less fancy restaurant for a quick snack, but with all the local restaurants located in walking distance, we didn't starve!LOL! We will be back for sure-can't imagine ever staying anywhere else when we come to visit our family! (some in Denver, some in Boulder, a perfect halfway spot) Loved it !

Vacation to Denver, August 2009
WMG Aug 24, 2009
We have stayed here twice, once in 2006 and again this year (2009). Born and raised in the Denver area, we travel back every ... year to visit relatives. We likely will not stay at the Westin again as other area hotels offer more value. The Westin seems to want to nickel and dime you for eveything (for instance, $9.95 per day for internet). Also, we called ahead to reserve rooms with westerly views and were placed on the east side instead - we changed rooms after 2 days and got the views of the Rockies that we were expecting.

The good, the bad, and the really ugly
Kathy Aug 16, 2009
We did alot of sight-seeing most of the day. We never had time to use any of the hotel annemities. But when we got back at ... night, all we wanted was a restful night's sleep. This did not happen- the toilet make noise all night, it over-flowed for no reason, the tub was clogged up during taking a shower. A red motion detector light continually came on and off through-out the night. For a fairly new hotel, this baby needs some big-time work on plumbing and venting problems!

Just Like Home
Deb Jun 19, 2009
I was in Colorado looking for a place to live when I transfer. The hotel staff was wonderful, from supplying maps and ... accomadating all my needs. The one thing that was missing was free internet in the business center. I hate traveling with a laptop which would have been free, however they charged 5.95 every 15 minutes. I do think they could do guest the favor and allow us free access. Other hotels do give you free access and Westin being the quality hotel it is should offer this as well. Everything else was excellent and I did feel like family after a week and did not want to leave!
