Wonderful stay in Vail.

We enjoyed many cocktails at the new Frost Bar after a long day on the slopes. Frost even had a live entertainer covering an extensive array of artists with his guitar. It was a perfect ending to 3 great days.

It was okay.

Some of the staff were super nice and others had attitude. The T.V. didn't work properly, not much light in the rooms. The poolside service was the good and hanging by the pool was the best part of the hotel.

the price point is not a good indication

The hotel (timeshare) was clean, friendly staff and nice enough lobby, bar and fitness center. Fairly good location - but, you are not in the village unless you leave the property. No views, it's located behind buildings it's really along the highway. I'd stay here with one other person for +/- $300 during peak season. When you're in the property it's nice enough. it's not a good place for families or anyone that expects to spend time out of their room. 'Superior rooms' are not as large as indicated and force you out of the room other than bed time. Food's good, but not special. Very comfortable, similar to a B & B. Parking Valet's are not 100% attentive with the ski valet process, they sent my skis back to the mountain the day we were checking out...lead to about 45 minute delay. we ate bfast on site and it was good enough.

Nice location, but service was terrible

When we checked in, we asked if we could upgrade our room. The receptionist told us that we had the most upgraded room available. Once we arrived at the room, it was small and dark so we asked to be moved. It took awhie and some convincing, and finally we were moved to a better room with light and a balcony. It was quite dusty and it was obvious from our stay that the hotel had very few other guests. It was like a ghost town. I would recommend staying somewhere else for the money.

Good location, room, service

I booked a "deluxe" room and was rather shocked to see how small the room was. The room was probably not so small physically but the fact there was only one small window on the upper half of the room (with a mountain view) made the room very dark and very small. The room was very clearn and well decorated except one of the leather headboards had that classical childlish heart and names on it and it was HUGE. Why the hotel did not fine them to repair it is a big question - who would expect to see this cheesy grafitti in the very classically appointed room? Otherwise the room was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. Water had the good pressure, and the bathroom was very nice too. Wish there were a fridge and a small table in the room. We ordered a room service one night, and we had to eat on the bed if you did not want to eat on the desk staring at the wall. Service was very good and all the staff was very friendly and helpful. There was not much info on this hotel on the web, and the info on their website was minimum at best. So I did not know that a valet parking there would cost $15/night if you choose to use the service. If not, the free public parking (HUGE structure) is just a few blocks away. The location was superb, and you can get on and off I-70 easily.

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

There is a wonderful sushi restraunt only a few steps from the hotel. As I am from Japan originally, I am very selective when it comes to a Japanese restraunt. I did not expect to see this authentic sushi place at Vail. Ingredients were so fresh, and wasabi was actually grated (not made from the powder). Highly recommended even from the NYC standard but prepare to pay!
