Knowledgeable Staff

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel very much and the concierge was very knowledgeable about local activities. They were very helpful in choosing rafting trips, hiking trails and restaurants. The hotel is in an ideal location. I hope that we are fortunate enough to be able to visit the Lodge at Vail again.

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

This hotel is in the middle of Vail Village... Close to many shops and restaurants, the base of Vail Mountain and a short walk/drive to the Gondola in Lions Head Village. It is convenient to I70 and about 2 hours from Denver. We tried two great restaurants both within walking distance.

Try Russell's restaurant on the creek. Great steaks and fish, friendly service and a pretty view of the creek if you can get one of the window tables.

Comfortable Luxury

The Lodge at Vail is a beautiful hotel at the base of Vail Mountain, conveniently located near the Vista Bahn lifts. Dining and shopping are close by in pedestrian-friendly Vail Village. The hotel is elegant without being stuffy. Families are clearly welcome, and service is attentive and warm. The bathrooms in standard rooms are small but well-appointed. There are two quite expensive restaurants in the hotel, but lots of other options within easy walking distance.

We were there to do some hiking after the ski season has closed. The room was awesome. The only thing is I wish the hot tub stay open longer.

Excellent value

The location, the service, the amenities and the quality and friendliness of the staff at the Lodge at Vail made this trip an exceptional deal. Robes and slippers in the room, coffee and paper in the morning, hot cider and hot cocoa and cookies in the afternoon, heated swimming pool and hot tubs for an after ski dip and a spa on the premises.

Beautiful hotel, perfect for skiers!

Had a great experience at this hotel. The room was compact but well appointed and the bed was very comfortable. The hotel is also located right next to the slopes of Vail Mountain and in the center of Vail Village so you can walk to everything. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The cost is a little high ($330/night plus $20/day resort fees + parking) but is on par with high end ski resorts...stayed in a similar one in Snowmass/Aspen which wasn't nearly as nice. Would definitely stay there again!

Loved Pepi's for Apres ski drinks and food. If you're looking for a treat, go to Matsuhisa for awesome sushi and be sure to try the Lychee martinis.

Ideal Ski Vacation Hotel

The staff and the hotel were top notch. Requests were fulfilled within minutes. My room was clean, spacious, and relaxing. The four hot tubs were fantastic--small and cozy. The Lodge is steps from the Vista Bahn lift which was very convenient for me. I would recommend The Lodge to anyone looking for a Vail vacation. Oh--and the bath products are superb!

AMAZING HOTEL, LOCATION & SERVICE!

Walk right off the slopes to your room, decompress in one of 5 outdoor jacuzzis, enjoy your romantic wood burning in-room fireplace, walk right out to the streets of Vail Village. Located across the street from 'Sweet Basil'. The staff was MORE then accomodating to my many requests, we had a few :-) Elways steak house located onsite has a great Caymus cab by the glass on the menu and you can walk outside to listen to a musician play while you drink by the outdoor firepit. This place is perfect in every way. Downside, it's expensive. Upside, everything else! Loved it!!!!! Spectacular hotel and service. xoxo

Nightlife tip: Short walk from hotel

Down the street from the hotel, check out the 'Shakedown' for a live band that has mystery members pop in to perform. Never know who you'll see. It's awesome music and they have a fooz table and DJ too. Fun for a night out if you don't have to ski early the next day.
