Great location in Vail

Just a short walk to the lifts. Hotel was so so, but a real steal for Vail. Hot tub, above ground, no pool, rooms were kept clean every day. Staff did my few dishes every day. Only thing that bothered me was on my way out, I was clipped $15 per day to park a car that never moved. All in all, I would do it again. JP

Great location, nice people, tired

Eventually, this place is going under renovation. Owners clearly are not investing and seem to be waiting for the economy to turn before redeveloping into a very expensive luxury property like the surroundings. For now, a relative value within a 2-300 yard walk to the Gondola. Great views, nice people. Bed comfortable. Amenities lacking. If you demand upscale, go elsewhere and pay 2-3 times more. If you want to sleep near the slopes for *RELATIVELY* short money- this will fill the bill.

Great staff and location, OK hotel

We took a family ski vacation at Vail, and this hotel has a great location - easy access to bus service around Vail. Room was just OK, but the staff was great. Especially the breakfast staff downstairs in the morning. My kids loved the food!

Great Location, so-so accomodations

Great location in Lionshead if you are there to ski, within walking distance to everything. Room was a little dated, old TV, old linens, however, a nice big tub. Very ordinary room, nothing special.

Vail on a budget

Good location, attentive staff. Hotel is somewhat tired in need of makeover. Rooms were spacious but also tired and bathroom had mold on ceiling.

Good Locaton and Good Breakfast

This hotel is 5-min walk to the ski lift. Front desk staff was friendly and efficient. The breakfast price was reasonable compared to other hotels. The chef made a different main dish every morning and we could still have fruit, cereal, juice, cheese, pastry, waffle, etc. The major drawback was no Wifi in the guest room and we had to use it in the main lobby. The hotel is quite old, but the price was very good.

Vail - Lionshead inn

Location of the hotel is perfect. Only a couple of hundred meters from the Lionshead skilift. Considering this is the only affordable hotel in Vail (below 200 per night), the rooms are very clean and staff is friendly, this is my choice when going back to Vail!
