can't beat the location

the hotel is old, with low cramping ceilings, motel 6 baths and furniture, and with limited in=room electronics/entertainment, BUT the pool area is very nice, the beds comfortable enough, and the location just N of the vail medical center is perfect. parking and the internet are free, so for the economic-minded traveler, the property is just fine and the staff helpful and friendly. besides: who really does more than sleep in their room?

Weekend skiing

Hotel was in a good location between Lionshead and the Village. Room was clean and staff friendly. It's a little dated but they did a good job updating. Good value

Good location between Lionshead and Vail village. Clean rooms and friendly staff. They have done a good job updating an older hotel. Wish the hot tub was outside with the pool

Great girls trip

We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived at the hotel and checked into our room. Their website definitely needs some updating. The rooms were a nice size, and had 2 sinks which was key with 4 girls sharing 1 room. And very close to Lionshead Village, easily walkable! Would definitely stay here again.

I Would Stay Here Again

Staff was okay. Hotel was average. Overall, it is exactly what I expected for the price. Before I completely talk you out of it though, I would stay here again. Breakfast vouchers were included with the room. Full breakfast with eggs, bacon, waffles, etc...lots to choose from and it tasted great. Mountain view room is a must. The hotel is located between Vail Village and Lionshead, so we were able to see the entire front side of the mountain from our room. However, there was no balcony. The walk to the gondola took about five minutes. It was a short walk on a trail that follows Gore Creek. Too close to need a shuttle. Hot tub was inside, but had large windows facing the slopes. Sports bar downstairs is legit. Waitresses were cute. Food was good and cheap. Lots of locals were in there each night that we went, so that has to count for something too.

Unbeatable location for price

Good breakfast at affordable price, room service not provided unless requested (not good as it is not explained at check in), close to everything we wanted to do in 4 days. Hotel staff friendly and helpful helpful about where things were located.

Sightseeing tip: Short walk from hotel

We were wearing good walking shoes and everyone seemed to walk everywhere. The weather was great. Cars are prohibited in most places so it is safe for children and others in Vail and nearby Lionsheaad. There was all types of restaurants, gifts shops, etc. no matter which direction you went, The gondola ride was the biggest treat. Don't miss it.
