Too small, too hot

We've stayed here a number of times and always had great experiences. This time, though, our room was little more than a closet in size with no air conditioning. While that normally isn't a factor, the stifling heat and still mountain air made for an overpriced stay in a small sauna. As has always been the case, the parking situation is a joke at this resort and unless you are driving a Smart Car, you will find no room at the Inn.

Baked in Telluride was a small local restaurant that had burned down in 2010 and just reopened. Not much in the way of ambiance but the pizza is great and the beer is cold. The view from the new deck is awesome

snooty and hot

The Hotel staff was very snooty and arrogant. The lack of air conditioning was a problem as we were unable to sleep during their heat wave. The room was also infested with moths. We will not be back.

Great service, good property

No on-site parking due to large wedding, but staff provided free shuttle to lot close by. Walls were so thin could hear neighbors as if in the same room, and so thin mechanical noise from the hall sounded like it was in the room. Location near gondola stop made Telluride easy to access. Loved not having to use the car. Great location, service offset by terribly noisy rooms with little or no soundproofing.

Great Views

The location was great, and the views were spectacular. The room was very comfortable. There appears to be a lack of planning on the developer's part because there were only 24 parking spaces above ground and the hotel charged $20 to park which I thought was excessive.

Smallest Hotel Room

This was the smallest room we have ever stayed in. But the location was ideal, walking distance to the free gondola or easy walk into Mountain Village. For the price it is worth it though. The staff was ok, not terribly helpful, but not rude. Never saw a conceirge for the three days that we were there. The restaurant was a plus, but didn't open until 8:30, which was too late to wait for a cup of coffee. The pool was TINY and full of ALOT of children. But the 3 fire pits going at nice was a really nice touch after enjoying the hottub. The sprinklers that ran for 48 hours outside of our window was a bit annoying. It took two calls to the front desk to get them to turn them off. So much for water conservation.

Decent hotel with a great location

The best part of the hotel is the location next to the gondola which takes you down into the town of Telluride. The hotel facilities are nice but nothing extraordinary. The standard room was tiny with little room to move around. The additional $20/night parking fee is a slap in the face.

Family Value in an Upscale Project

Great views from the main lodge, great value and very kid friendly but the value rooms while clean and neat were very small with absolutely no view. We'll stay there again but will request a larger room on an upper floor

Location, location, closet for a room

The area of Telluride/Mountain Village is picture perfect. No need to use the car with the free shuttles and gondolas. The "lodge" rooms at the Mountain Lodge are tiny. So small they had to use shortened queen size beds to fit. And be prepared to shell out 20 dollars per night to park up to 1/4 mile down hill from your room.

Avoid Fat Alley restuarant in Telluride....artery clog waiting to happen and tables haven't been wiped since the ski crowd left. Don't miss the Steam Bean in Telluride for great specialty coffees.

Beautiful setting but disappointing

The room I was assigned was next to the utility room. All night a boiler or generator ran, making sleep challenging. Upon arrival I was informed all on site parking had been assigned. I paid $20 to leave my car in a parking garage 400 yards away. The mountain setting was beautiful but our room was small and the bath tub was occupied by a large spider.
