It's a lodge, not a hotel

The lodge was beautiful and conveniently located to the lift system. However, the room was very small and exposed on the first floor to both car and pedestrian traffic. There was no vending so we had to go out for ice and drinks. Parking was expensive and limited.

Ultimate Moutain Resort for the price

Great place to go off season. Mild days and cool nights with breath taking views of the mountains. Awesome place in the summer to get away from the heat. Every thing runs at a slower pace in the summer, but definitively a hot spot in the winter.

Family Value in an Upscale Project

Great views from the main lodge, great value and very kid friendly but the value rooms while clean and neat were very small with absolutely no view. We'll stay there again but will request a larger room on an upper floor

Fabulous stay

The Mountain Lodge at Telluride is a beautiful hotel located in an incredible setting. For the most part, our stay was perfect. We stayed in two different rooms because we decided to extend our stay and our first room was already reserved. The first room was impeccably clean and comfortable -- but quite small and rather loud. We could hear the elevator on our floor every time it was in use. Nevertheless, the room was so comfortable and the views so gorgeous that we weren't bothered too terribly. The second room we stayed in was actually a suite -- complete with full kitchen, dining room, living room, fireplace and laundry. It's definitely the sort of place we could see returning to for several days or more -- and was actually quite affordable because we booked a great deal through Orbitz! The rate quoted to us at the front desk was more than twice what we paid through Orbitz.

Far beyond expectations

With the low Orbitz price, I wasn't expecting much. However, I found exceptionally helpful staff, a room that was first class in every way, and an unforgettable view from my room.

Location, location, closet for a room

The area of Telluride/Mountain Village is picture perfect. No need to use the car with the free shuttles and gondolas. The "lodge" rooms at the Mountain Lodge are tiny. So small they had to use shortened queen size beds to fit. And be prepared to shell out 20 dollars per night to park up to 1/4 mile down hill from your room.

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

Avoid Fat Alley restuarant in Telluride....artery clog waiting to happen and tables haven't been wiped since the ski crowd left. Don't miss the Steam Bean in Telluride for great specialty coffees.

Great service, good property

No on-site parking due to large wedding, but staff provided free shuttle to lot close by. Walls were so thin could hear neighbors as if in the same room, and so thin mechanical noise from the hall sounded like it was in the room. Location near gondola stop made Telluride easy to access. Loved not having to use the car. Great location, service offset by terribly noisy rooms with little or no soundproofing.
