The West Condominiums by Steamboat Resorts

Great views and location. Condo was a tad dated, but a great value for what we needed. I will be in need for a room in Steamboat soon and will stay at the West Condos again. The staff members were excellent!

We had a great time mostly due to the fact of how convienient the West is. A short walk to the gondola, with a coffee stop on the way. A quick call to the front desk and shuttles were set up to take us downtown for evening dinners and bars. 2 hot tobs and a heated pool on sight and plenty of parking. Accomodations were spacious and well kept....what more could you ask for.

You are paying for location, you are across the street from Gondola square, it is about a 5-10 minute walk to the Gondola depending on the kids pace in ski gear. It is luck of the draw with condos. Ours was clean and had all the basics for cooking and lounging around. However, ours was purely rental, you could tell that no one actually lived here because it was just enough basics to get by, i.e. Old appliances and cheap furniture. If you get a two bedroom I would expect at least a TV in the bedrooms, or at least one decent TV in the master bedroom, not a 9 inch tube TV. I only raise these concerns because of the price we paid per night. Most of our time was on the mountain, and this location is great, you could get by without a vehicle because of the shuttle and location. Depending on price, I would likely stay here again because this place was cheaper than most for a holiday stay.
