Mostly great, could use new beds.

I've stayed here several times and really enjoy the location and the staff. It's easy walking distance to everything in downtown Steamboat and right on the bus line for the free shuttle to the ski mountain. The staff are kind and always available. The one aspect that was sub-par was that the beds weren't super comfortable and ours sagged a bit in the middle. Otherwise, a great place for a great price. Breakfast too!

Good price and location

Nice clean motel with very comfortable beds. The breakfast was very basic. Great location being close to downtown and right on the Yampa River with a nice bike path nearby. I would definitely stay there again.

Rabbit Ears Motel

The Rabbit Ears Motel is nicely located in the heart of downtown Steamboat. There is a bus stop just in front of the motel that connects you easily to the Mt. Werner Ski area. Public transportation is free and most people use it to get around the town. The motel itself is functional and clean. Smells a little funny probably from the age of the facilities. The staff are very friendly. I found it quite acceptable for the price.

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

Short walk to lots of good restaurants. Recommend Winona's. Great fresh made food. Sandwiches, soups, salads, and desserts.

Rabbit Ears MOtel

We stayed in a back room off to the side with the river running right outside our patio. Stayed 2 nights and enjoyed our room. Also had 2 dogs. Would have liked more open area for them. This is our 3rd time to stay here. People are friendly. Continental breakfast is ok.

Excellent location and great value.

Excellent location and great value. Although the rooms are quite small they are clean and well equipped with eveything we needed, inl, cuding free wireless internat. The complimentary breakfast was very good, and the free shuttle to the ski base area was conveniently located just outside the hotel. The Old Town Hot Springs are just across the road. If we visit Steamboat again we'll certainly consider staying at Rabbit Ears Motel. Highly recommended.

Okay room for a one night stay

I had a pretty good idea what the room would be like based on the other reviews. I had a single room which was the smallest room I have ever stayed in, and the walls were very thin, but the rate was reasonable for downtown Steamboat Springs during the winter holiday season. The staff was nice, the continental breakfast was okay, and being one block away from all of the downtown shops was a plus. The hotel also offers discount tickets to the Old Town Hot Springs, which is directly across the street. I don't think I would have wanted to stay here for more than one night, but it was fine for one evening.

Rabbit Ears

Friendly people; big spacious room with a refrigerator, large screen TV and a balcony; nice beds very comfortable, but a small bathroom. Continental breakfast was ok and they started it early for the hunters staying there. Will stay there again the next time I'm up that way.

Rabbit Ears - Steamboat

It's not intended to be a "fancy" or "extravagant" place. The Rabbit Ears in Steamboat is a simple, old fashioned motel...clean room but very basic lodging. Those expecting something more shouldn't stay here. I knew what I was getting and for my purposes it was good....
