Good basic skier accommodation
In a convenient downtown location, the Nordic Lodge is good, clean, basic skier accommodation. Catch a free bus out the front door for the ski area or stroll Lincoln Avenue. Staff were friendly and helpful. The DIY breakfast was filling. An added bonus if the number of international guests.

Great location for Steamboat town activities
My husband and I traveled with our 10 month for a wedding. We were seeking hotel with bedroom closed off to the sitting area. The baby was able to go down at her bedtime while we were able to visit, watch t.v. and then have friends over for drinks. Great location to walk all over town, we did not have to drive a car.

Anniversary
Decided at the last minute to go to Steamboat for our anniversary. Looked on Orbitz for different motels in the location that we wanted. Found the Nordic, and after reading the reviews and price list thought that we would take a chance. Room was perfect and could not beat the location.Staff was considerate and was ready to assist us with whatever we needed.

Nordic is OK
Nice location, recently renovated, and clean. Great for a simple place to sleep and use as a base to walk anywhere in town. Very good value. Better than average breakfast (fruit, bagels, pastries not stale).

Excellent Choice!
We headed to Steamboat for the weekend just for fun, as it was our first visit there! Our experience at the lodge was great-customer service was excellent, the room met our needs (very thankful for the hair dryer), the location could not have been better, and the dining recommendation was top notch (even on busy Valentine's weekend). We were so pleased with our visit at the lodge and would definitely stay there again!

We had the best dining experiences in Steamboat! Beau Jo's for lunch (soup, salad, drink and pizza buffet) and Riggio's for our evening out. Fabulous food at both!

Great Stay, As Always
Went up for Memorial Day Weekend. Hotel was great as always! Very clean rooms, microwave and fridge in room, free wifi and quiet (didn't hear my neighbors once and the hotel was packed). I took a friend who has never been to Steamboat, we walked the main strip and did some shopping, went to Strawberry Hot Springs, took a little drive to Stagecoach State Park, and walked along the river. Beautiful weekend, relaxing weekend and was even able to do a late check out on Monday. Hotel owner is very friendly and accomadating! This trip we ate at the Smokehouse BBQ (had two large groups that night so they were out of quite a bit but the beef brisket was yummy, mashed potatoes were good, didn't like the coleslaw though); went for margaritas after dinner to the Rio Grande (my fav place for margaritas ever); Had lunch the following day at Beau Jo's ($8 for the lunch buffet, can't beat it.); Dinner we went to the Ore House at Pine Grove (great steaks, MUST try the house potato, amazing salad bar, soft cinnamon rolls). I love that this hotel is right on the main strip so you can easily walk around (shopping, food, river walk, the in town hot springs) without needing to use the car.

Sightseeing tip:
Short drive from hotel
Go to Strawberry Hot Springs. From the Nordic, it is a 15-20 minute drive. They are situated on the river, 4-5 pools of various tempatures. After dark 18+ only and clothing optional. $10 per adult. From Lincoln turn onto 7th and follow the signs. May require a 4x4 in winter but they have transportation companies in town that will take you for a fee, that includes admission. Just ask your hotel.
