During ski season, the resort offers a complimentary shuttle to the Gondola Square. The resort offers two indoor hot tubs, sauna, miniature golf course, outdoor grilling areas, vending machines, complimentary newspapers and coffee daily. Enjoy the spectacular Mountain View from the resort's redwood deck or relax by the cozy fireplace in the resort lobby. Skiing, shopping, dining and sightseeing are just minutes away. Steamboat ski weekend

The resort isn't anything fancy, but it's comfortable enough. The price was good for a ski weekend in steamboat. We especially appreciated ths resort's shuttle to the ski area.

Nice & roomy, near the slopes

We stayed in Feb, 2012 over a long weekend at the "suites" location, not the hilltop location. The room was in great shape when we arrived. It is showing its age a bit with slightly older fixtures and so forth but no complaints since everything worked well & was clean. We had a king, queen, fold out bed, 2 bathrooms and a full kitchen with dining area; plenty of room for a family of 5 with 3 small kids. Since it is a full kitchen, not a kitchenette, we were able to have full meals and so forth and save on meals with a better family atmosphere. The staff was right on top of things; we had a minor lock issue of our own doing, and they sent someone over within 5 minutes. Note that the suite location has a spa / hot tub / sauna but the swimming pool is up on the hilltop location; we used all the facilities in both locations. The Legacy is not a spectacular modern resort, but it is well kept, clean and a fair deal. We were very happy and would return; just the savings on meals made up for the higher expense over a typical hotel in Steamboat. There is a shuttle running to the ski area (by the gondola) and can take you into town or to the other resort if you prefer to use that instead of a car.

Don't miss the hot springs - a great place to spend an evening after hitting the slopes.

Good place to stay in Steamboat

The place was comfortable and spacious. The location was great. There was easy access to downtown and the mountain. The room was clean and quiet. For the price it was more than adequate. We would stay there again.
