Great place to relax

Viceroy is a very good hotel. The 8K restaurant is great and its amenities, especially the SPA, are perfect to recover from a day of snowboard. The only problem I would say about it is that you may end up listening to talks held on the room next to yours.

Entertainment tip: Short drive from hotel

The BellyUp in Aspen is a smaller venue (max. 400) and very casual, yet attracks top music talent. We saw Grammy award winner Ziggy Marley in concert. We sat 20 feet from the stage and only paid $71/ticket!!! A really fun venue worth checking out.

excellent location and service

This hotel was excellent in it's customer service and location. The attention to detail was fantastic, and the location next to the gondola made it very accessable to hiking and biking.

Great family weekend

The accommodations were first class as was the service. The pool is tiny but one doesn't spend much time poolside when in the Colorado mountains. The poolside restaurant (asian fusion) food was mediocre at best. It sounded much better on the menu than it tasted. The workout room has a couple of bikes, treadmills and some weights. It was adequate. The spa was very clean and serene. Service in the spa was great although I did not purchase any services. My sis-in-law had one of the best massages of her life though.

Sightseeing tip: Short drive from hotel

There is hiking in the vicinity of the hotel. They will drive you to the trail heads and pick you up when you are finished. If you want to go into Aspen and shop and dine you will need a car. Valet parking is $15 night at the hotel but you can walk two minutes to a free public parking garage if you want to save the $15.

Vicerroy comfort

We went to Snowmass hoping to catch an indian summer and hike, but were welcomed with a 36 hour storm of the century, and had to nestle in. 20" of powder was not conducive to our planned hiking, so we lavished in the room service, quietude, great bar, hot tub and staff going out of their way to please. Next time we'll try a little earlier in October, but we will be back.

All restaurants in Aspen Snowmass area are expectedly pricey, but you have to consider that the place is remote and food must cost an arm to haul. The Viceroy is setup with modern little kitchenettes completely equipped, so you are free to brown bag meals, though we mixed it up over our stay. The restaurant(8K) has excellent views, well worth the price of service. There is a great little grocery store a short walk away, so you can pick up a full range of provisions. The skiing is going to be great this year, too.

Beautiful experience

The facility is brand new and kept pristine. Very sleek design style...with a good amount of attention to detail. The service was excellent and attentive. We were upgraded to a wonderful, luxurious two-bedroom suite for free. I would add that the hotel was very comfortable and welcoming to the gay traveler. The hotel was amongst the best I've been to in Colorado and comparable to top NYC/Miami destination hotels.

Luxurious Stay at the Viceroy

Viceroy Snowmass is majestic. The staff was excellent, welcoming and warm. 5 star service without being stuffy. The rooms were top notch. Modern and elegant yet cozy and warm. There was plenty of closet space, which is great for ski season, plus free storage for things like bikes and skis so they don't clutter your room. We visited in late August for the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Ride. It was a very convenient location to the event. A stone's throw from Aspen. Definitely visit the Maroon Bells.

Viceroy is THE BEST in Aspen

We have been traveling from NY to LA by car for the last 2 weeks. We have stayed at 4-5 star resorts the whole way (thanks to Cheap Tickets great rates!). The Viceroy Snowmass is by-far the most accommodating, appropriately appointed, most comfortable, and greatest value of any resort I have EVER stayed in (incl. trips to Italy, Spain, London, etc.. The staff is very helpful, and there focus is in just the right place. A++++++ for this place. You will not be disappointed.

Beautiful new hotel, great service!

The hotel is brand new and absolutely beautiful. The service was the best I have experienced at any hotel. The only problem I had was the location, it is removed from the main Snowmass mall, and though somewhat up and coming, Snowmass is still no Aspen. The hotel does have complimentary shuttles anywhere in Snowmass and there is free public transportation to Aspen which was a nice option.
