Hidden Fees at Ski Run
Ski Run - hidden fees!
Overall the condo was good, except for the fact that they added a hidden fee of $45 for insurance "in case you messed up the room". The fee was never mentioned at check in and was added when I checked out. What a burn - charging me $45 in case I caused damage - give me a break!

We felt our condo was set up perfectly for our little family of 5. It was clean and spacious and the view of the mountains were spectacular. Thank you for a wonderful week end!

Okay time
Stayed in Tenderfoot Lodge in Keystone. Coming from eastern U.S., we were surprised to find no a/c. Would have liked a fan to pull in the cold night air and muffle the road noise. Building is in a major renovation, but not disturbed by construction noise. Just some walkways torn up so care taken when walking. Didn't find the hot tub until the day before we left. Sofa bed was broken and no sheets provided. One toilet handle was broken. No iron for the ironing board. Snake River directly behind made for beautiful setting and and walking/bike path directly behind made for easy access. Balcony was inviting with lots of hummingbirds flying around. This is one of the older condo buildings in Keystone so expect older accommodations. Not a bad value compared to the newer areas.

1 bedroom condo at Arapahoe lodge
We rented a 1 BR condo (2 night stay in July) through SkyRun, which is not actually a resort, but a company letting condos in various buildings throughout Keystone (and other nearby resorts). Ours was at Arapahoe lodge, so the part of this review that describes the condo is about Arapahoe lodge, not SkyRun. The apartment was of a moderate size but with a very high ceiling soaring above the kitchen (last floor under the roof), with a balcony, large closet, 2 TVs, DVD player, some DVDs and books, fully equipped kitchen and decorations characteristic for Keystone (old skis and snowshoes on the walls etc.). The only issue was a hole in an armchair. Location is very convenient to take ski lift to the nearby summit (it functions in summer as well), lots of small shops nearby. On the part of SkyRun, we had several inconveniencies, which finally were resolved. The website does not give driving directions (other than general map of the whole Keystone), which we had to find through Google, though it offers a live chat possibility (during working hours of course). Calling SkyRun results in a 15 min waiting, followed by a message that they are unable to take a call. We sent an email through SkyRun website; it took them 4 days to respond. Staff in the office was helpful in what concerned checking in, but not in any other aspects, such as maps of hiking trails. [...]

Great for just hiking and in and out of area for site seeing. No amenities, jacuzzi ok,- but very quiet and off the major highway. Nothing special but works for low budget.

A Total Disappointment!
We were looking for a family getaway for the weekend. It was NOT a good experience. [...] don't communicate info. This room was $60 more than I expected. There was no staff to complain to. The office was closed almost the whole weekend. They don't care about [...] customers because they don't get full price for their condos. The condo had no phone. The condo was close to a bar and it was a so loud that my husband slept on the sofa that was toward the back of the building. Hardly any buildings have pools. The accommodations were from the 1980's. It was very clean and there were a few comforts that made it homey. But the shower would not drain. The lights were out on the porch. The bed was hard. The pillows were dirty and flat. The DVD player did not work and 3 remotes had no battery. The bedroom windows faced the walkway so one is reluctant to open the windows all night. Never will stay there again. The thing that made me angry was if I had payed a little more for another hotel we would have been much happier. Say NOOOOO to Cinnamon Ridge.

Short drive from hotel
If you go to Keystone be sure to walk along Lake Dillon or take a short ride to the riverwalk in Breckenridge.

this place needs help
We were in Keystone to do sight seeing and enjoyed the sight seeing very much but we expected a nicer condo experience. Our initial reaction on seeing the room was shock at how small it was. Not like the pictures we saw on the website. Then on closer inspection of the condo we found some unpleasant things that show that the condo is being neglected and only very basic surface cleaning and maintenance is being done. We had a broken chair and clock in our closet, two really old filthy pillows on our bed that were covered with pillowshams that were covered in lint and dog hair. The kitchen faucet squirted water at you if you turned the water up past a certain level and this is due to the whole thing needing to be replaced. The freezer had a bag of frozen fruit encrusted in ice that couldn't be removed. It would require that someone defrost the freezer to get it out. And lastly the jacuzzis on the grounds were really grimy on the inside and we were turned off to wanting to come back to get in it. There is no staff on site to help you. You have to call a phone number. We never did this but complained about the kitchen faucet to some maintenance workers who said they don't take care of issues in that particular condo. So as a result I won't be recommending this place to anyone

Slopeside Condos
Great location for the price, impeccable condo, although somewhat small. It is as close as you can get from being on the slopes (not ski-in/ski-out), but 30 yards from the slopes... can't beat it.
