Barely passable

The clerk at check in was surly. The room was cold as ice and took two hours to heat to 70degrees. The clerk gave me keys for the wrong room. The rooms are dark and not very inviting. They do have a mini fridge and microwave. The "hot" breakfast consists of a waffle maker. It certainly is NOT a 3 star hotel!! At best, it is a 2 star.

Great noncorporate hotel at a good value

Clean rooms, good continental breakfast, fair rates. We stayed here one night for a easy drive to crested Butte the next morning. The breakfast consists of waffles, bakery, cereal, juices and more. Comfortable dining area in the lobby. Free computer access and free Wi-Fi. This is not luxurious although great for a simple night stay The beds were comfortable and each room has a mini refrigerator

Great for a quick place to stay

The hotel was clean, quite, and staff was efficent. The hot breakfast was only hot because they provide hot waffles otherwise the breakfast was as basic as a continnetal breakfast. The hot tub adequate.

Budget-friendly weekend getaway

My wife and I wanted to get away for the weekend, but couldn't justify spending a ton of money to stay in Crested Butte. We also wanted to try out Monarch ski area on our way back to Denver. We found this place and it fit our needs perfectly. Very quiet, we thought we had the whole place to ourselves. Breakfast was typical continental fare, the hot tub was clean and hot, the room was spotless and appeared to be recently updated. Absolutely cannot complain about anything, great value.

love began....

This hotel is where I met my soon to be husband.I live in Utah and he lives in Colo. Gunnison is the mid point for the both of us.We fell in love there. We liked our stay so well, that we came back the following month. He proposed to me the second time, and one of the staff was so kind to help us take our engagement pictures. She then sent them to us by e-mail. Every time we have ever been there, the facilities have been very clean and quiet. The breakfast is awesome. When ever we make a trip to Gunnison, we always stay at the Alpine Inn. the staff is superb and very caring. They never miss a time to ask us how we are doing and if we are comfortable. We will be returning in May as husband and wife, to celebrate my husband's birthday. We will again book a room with Alpine Inn knowing that we will get the best customer care and comfort. Alpine Inn is the place where we began our lives together. We will always have wonderful memories of the Alpine Inn. Paul and Brenda Lucius

A great place to stay

We were very please with this hotel. We usually stay at chain hotels but took a chance with this hotel as it has an indoor pool. We were very pleased. The rooms were newly done and even have granite countertops. The staff was pleasant and answered all of our questions. We would recommed this hotel to our friends.

Decent for the cheap price

This was a decent place that allowed me to have the dog stay too. The room smelled a little and was right next to the outside door so it was a bit noisy. There were smoking rooms nearby and the cigarette smoke was drifting into my room.

I feel the Managment team was not very helpful or nice. Never really seemed to be in a very good mood.

Nothing wrong with this place

The Alpine Inn is a nice family-run property in Gunnison. The staff did a nice job of providing a warm and welcoming environment. I was especially pleased with the all-day availability of breakfast beverages and food items. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again if the opportunity presents itself.

Alpine Inn of Gunnison

The hotel was clean and sufficient, but rooms were quite small. The tub felt as if it could go through the floor. The breakfast was minimal.
