1 overnight w/ kids

The hotel was pretty ordinary. We expected a little bit more based on the $90+ per night they charged. Our only complaint was the pool was very chilly. Beds were pretty ordinary. Based on the price of the room, a pillow top mattress would have been nice.

Lone Star is right next door and they have good food.

worst hotel stay ever...[...]

We came for a get away weekend- shopping trip to blackhawk, just relaxing. We were met w a TV that never worked,kds who ran the hallways all night, and a hot tub that gave my friend an I both a rash from chemichels being off, not to mention the nasty unsafe and unsanitary conditions of the pool area. [*] this is what I wanted I could have saved a lot and stayed at a cheap hotel and had better conditions. [...]

Fairfield drives excellence

Staff was excellent. Service was superb. Room was immaculate. Breakfast was good, and coffee was always hot.

Time-saving tip: Short walk from hotel

Getting into the hotel is a little tricky. You need to make a left turn onto the frontage road if you are Northbound on Simms/Union. Otherwise it is likely that you will wind up going to Golden.
