Candlewood Suites DENVER/LAKEWOOD

Great location, easy to get to downtown Denver, Golden, and Boulder. The hotel only has a room cleaning service once a week, unless you request it for more, but since we just stayed for a weekend, it was fine. The front desk staff was always helpful with hints and directions and whatever we needed. They have a "hospitality" type room, where you can buy everyday items, like frozen and refrigerated foods, free coffee, and laundry machines. You can "rent" movies from the front desk for free and they have a pretty good selection, so every room has a dvd player if you want to bring your own.

Hotel was nice and room was clean. Staff was friendly! Had I been better at planning we wouldn't have had to go to out to dinner as the kitchen would have made it easy to stay in, and the dishwasher was a great touch.

Better for a 5 day stay than other places I have already stayed nearby. Easy to get to relatives who live downtown Denver and friends in Golden. Highly recommend the Colo Ralilroad Musuem in Golden.

Great hotel. One of the best hotel experiences I have ever had. Very nice rooms, nice comfortable beds, excellent price, wonderful friendly people. Highly recommend.

We got to the Hotel very late on Halloween, but found it clean, convenient, everything you might need was there. We only stayed one night, and the place was quiet after we turned off the refrigerator, since we didn't really need anything to refrigerate.

Convenient location while visiting friends in the Lakewood area. Rooms are spacious and there is lots of parking. Did not like that smoking and non-smoking rooms are on same floor. Strong smoke smell in hallways.

This was a comfortable place to stay for 2 nights. For a longer stay, I would look for a place with more amenities.

The hotel provides a clean environment for business travelers who want that simple place to rest during travel. No extra rooms, no extra TVs, no extra strange chocolates on the pillow...a clean room, kitchenette, bed, bathroom, and table. All items are well kept, and the room does provide an Internet connection (reasonable DSL speed). Most appreciated was the kitchenette, where you can keep your costs in line by just picking up some items from the local supermarkets. Room service only comes once a week (or when you check out), so if you're a slob, you live with it. I appreciate this more appropriate level of cleaning. I continue to use this hotel anytime I travel to this area for business.

Two guys to a room didn't work with single bed situation that Orbitz doesn't warn you about...staff rescued the day by providing an extra room for a good value. Weekly room service is disappointing but understood.
