Loved it!

We stayed 2 nights. I love the decor, beautifully decorated, clean, the beds were comfortable, and on the softer side :) The staff were nice and helpful. The complementary breakfasts was delish! The indoor pool and jacuzzi were clean. We didn't want to be right next to the Hot Springs so the location so perfect. Close (5 min drive) but far enough away :) We would definitely stay there again!

Very Nice All Around - Location could be better

This was the second stay at this location for my wife and I. The service was top notch, breakfast was perfect, the room was immaculate. We've stayed at other places in town and they are not nearly as well equipped or modern. The pool is lacking, but considering you have the hot springs nearby that's easy to get over. They provide activities, amenities and other great things when you stay - if you're looking for a top notch place to stay and don't mind a few minutes of travel into town, then you have to stay here.

Money-saving tip: Short drive from hotel

Take your own towels to the hot springs - it'll save you some cash, plus leave you with a larger towel to wrap up in than the tiny ones they provide at the pools.

Good but could be better with a little effort

Our room, esp. the 2 room suite, worked great for our family. We had plenty of room and everything was in mostly good condition, clean, and comfortable. Our room was quiet and the beds were comfortable. The events at the hotel in the evening were fun too. Having several restaurants and a Target across the parking lot was very convenient. It was a quick (<5 minutes) trip to downtown and hot springs and a fairly direct 20-30 minute drive to Sunlight Mountain. Couple of things weren't great. Breakfast was incredibly crowded around 8-8:30am every morning (hard to find a place to sit, hard to get to the food, out of food frequently when we finally got there). Seems like the setup there wasn't as good as other Residence Inns we've stayed at. Also several little things weren't quite ideal in our room (lights burned out, remotes not working, no schedule of events, etc). It was also a little frustrating trying to use a rewards certificate to get a free night (I have Marriott Silver Status from my work travel). The hotel couldn't put us into a 2 bedroom suite we had reserved for most of our trip. Instead, we had to stay in a one bedroom suite for our free night and then move to a 2 bedroom suite for the rest of the trip (kind of a pain with a bigger family, esp when your trying to get out the door first thing in the morning to go skiing). I've probably spent 30+ nights in Marriott hotels the past 1-2 years for work. I expected more when I finally tried to use my rewards. All in all, we were happy with our experience and would stay again. It seems like the hotel could pay a little more attention to the details though.

Sunlight Mountain was great for family skiing (relative to other resorts it's very affordable and it wasn't very crowded). Our kids (9, 6, 4) did a week long ski camp there and they all improved a tremendous amount each day. It's the best ski school/camp our kids have ever done.

Hard to find but lots of space!

The hotel was difficult to find in the dark (not clearly marked from the road). The 2-room suite is a good value for a large group and the in-suite kitchen was well-appointed. Noise carried through the ceilings/floors and from the hallway.

Best Hotel in Glenwood Springs

My family of four stayed in this apartment-like hotel for 8 nights. It was the roomiest, most comfortable hotel we have ever stayed in. It had two separate bedrooms and bathrooms along with a living area and a sleeper sofa. The closets and dressers had plenty of space to store our stuff. The kitchen was fantastic for preparing meals although it did not have an oven. Breakfast had plenty of choices, both hot and cold. A shopping center nearby was convenient.

Good price and Location

Stayed in Glenwood Springs for a short ski trip. The Residence Inn was in a good location within a short walk to several stores including Target. Also nearby was a Chili's and a couple of other places to eat. The whole area is a new development with many stores. The hotel was new and clean, and the people at the front desk were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was slightly above average of other hotels. Pool, spa, and laundry room were all nice. We stayed in a two room suite and it was perfect for our family. Having two bathrooms was great. Only negatives about the room was there was a used washcloth on top of one of the shower rod when we arrived, both toilet seats were not fastened tightly, and the doors squeaked loudly. We would highly recommend this place to stay.
