Stay away from this one

This hotel definitely did not meet expectations. The clerk said that renovations were halted for the busy summer season and will resume in October. The hotel is old and needs the renovations, but they needed to store the materials some place other than the main hall on the first floor. The ice machine on our floor didn't work. The faucet in our bathroom dripped. The binder in our room said the restaurant was open until 10:00p.m. and room .service was available as long as the restaurant was open. The restaurant was closed. The hot tub was closed. It may have been a better idea to concentrate on one area at a time when considering renovations.

The Lost Cajun was a wonderful surprise. This little gem of a restaurant is run by an authentic cajun who knows what cajun food should be, not hot with different kinds of hot sauce but very well seasoned and favorful. Free samples are available for the asking.

Rooms are decent but skip the free breakfast

Hotel is under renovations, looking forward to trying them again when finished.

We were pleased.

Close to everything. Clean and efficient. Did not know we were in the dog section! They only barked when left alone? Hope all leftover furniture and tile will be gone from hallways next time we visit. Nice, friendly staff who tried to please. And it only rained one day! Yay! Took the Tram and visited the caves. Good restaurants to choose from. The "Grand Canyon Monument" was awesome. Didn't even know it was there! This is our third trip. I think we have it covered.

anywhere but here..

This was a dump. I'm surprise that Ramada even put there mane on it. NO parking ..!! The remodeled room had little paint and a new funky sink. water stained ceiling and dirty carpets. called it remodeled. Morning breakfast was empty 1/2 the time and coffee out. sit at a table that was rocking to move to another one that was the sam. Totally felt ripped off $100

The hotel was under construction as it was three years ago when we stayed here. The main elevator was down, the ice machine on the second floor was down, the hot tub was down and I was down. I reserved a non-smoking room and got a room that reeked of smoke. The bed spread and sheets were stained and the blanket was full of holes.

will never stay there again

Our experience with the Ramada Inn was horrible. The plumbing was backed up and someone stole from our room.

Totally Worth It

It was our first time to Colorado - there for my cousin's wedding. This hotel was in a GREAT location, just a short walk to everything Glenwood Springs! It's undergoing remodeling and we were in one of the pre-remodeled rooms. There were some holes in the curtains, tiles missing from the bathroom...BUT it was VERY clean. The staff was VERY friendly, and the free hot breakfast each morning was a great way to start the day. For the price, we will totally stay here again as we plan on going back out to the amazing Glenwood Springs!

The Bluebird Cafe is an amazing coffee shop! They know their coffee...they just aren't signed very well. They are next to the Doc Holliday bar. :)

under renovation but OK

This Ramada was as expected except for the renovation, which they did not advertise (but which probably explains the discount rates). Be careful of extra fees however - it is pet-friendly, so many yapping dogs - in at least six rooms - they said they would give us a warning before a charge but we got charged right away when our dog joined in the chorus. This place has a nice breakfast, and is conveniently located. It also has a bar w/ DJ. Glenwood Springs overall is a fantastic getaway town. We enjoyed our getaway despite the "pet nuisance" charge.

Sightseeing tip: Short drive from hotel

We went hiking to beautiful Hanging Lake, took a dip in the Hot Springs and rented bikes to bike to Carbondale and back. I would recommend going to Hanging Lake in the late afternoon since 1) it is cooler and 2) places open up in the crammed parking lot them

Excellent stay at the Ramada, Glenwood Springs

We were pleasantly surprised by how nice this hotel was. They are in the middle of remodeling, and it looks great. The rooms were comfy and updated, and the bed was great. We were in walking distance of downtown, and lots of restaurants and shops. We didn't have to drive anywhere. The only thing we were bummed about was the pool--it was TINY. We were looking forward to taking our son swimming, but the pool was only 3ft deep all they way around, and it was just very small. Not sure if they are remodeling that, but hopefully they are. Luckily there was still plenty for us to do.
