Lots of fun at the pool at the AmericInn

The pool here is great for small kids. They have a section just for toddlers that my 2 year old could play in safely. It even has its own mini waterslide for the littlest guests. Then it has a deeper section with a big curvy waterslide. There aren't any rules at the pool area, so we could even go down the big slide with our 2 year old. Kids are allowed (and often were) in the hot tub. The pool was a little chilly so we kept hopping back and forth into the hot tub to warm up. Rooms were very clean. Sheets are soft, and I liked the pillows which I'm usually picky about. Mattresses aren't anything special. Movies are 13.99 which I thought was crazy, but I brought my laptop so we watched our own from home. Water pressure was great, and there was plenty of hot water. In room coffee maker, mini fridge, hair dryer, and a small table with 2 chairs were nice amenities. Free wireless or wired internet was great for planning our time while we were there. I used the business center to print a coupon for 50% off our gondola ride. The facility was very nice. The breakfast at the hotel is perfect. One hot item each day in addition to the ability to make your own waffles. Saturday was scrambled eggs and Sunday was biscuits and gravy. They have a bunch of pastries, bagels, toast, croissants, yogurt, cereal, fruit. They have apple and orange juice, milk, coffee, and tea. It was perfect for what we wanted in the morning. Sunday was our last day at the hotel, but also the day we planned to go to the Glenwood Springs Adventure Park. The hotel staff was very welcoming and said it was not a problem if we wanted to use any of the facilities after checkout. The gondola to the Adventure Park is right in the parking lot - which is fantastic. My 4 and 2 year old had a blast at the park. I wasn't sure how much they would be able to do, but the staff was very accommodating. Since I was by myself with the 2 kids they had one of the staff members take my 4 year old on the alpine slide so I could stay with the youngest. My 4 year old was over the moon because he was dying to go on it. He loved it! He also got to do the rock climbing wall, and the bungee trampoline. We watched a 4D movie about turtles and all of us loved it. The chairs moved, there were blasts of light mist that went into your face occasionally, and the 3D was really great. The highlight for my 2 year old was the giant sandbox. We also had fun in the maze, but it got a little out of hand when the boys started trying to crawl under and I had to crawl to keep from losing them. After our adventure we came back to the hotel to swim for about an hour until we were able to meet up with my husband for the drive home. I loved that they were willing to let us go play in the pool even though we were no longer technically guests.

Go to Rib City. It may be the best BBQ I have ever had. We all loved it. My husband and I split the feast for 2 which had chicken, brisket, ribs, coleslaw, baked beans, and fries. Drool. Our 2 year old was under 4, and so he got a free meal of chicken and french fries, which he loved. Our oldest chose the shrimp basket and ate every piece. We had coconut cream pie for desert. Everything was excelent. The staff was great. The place is right in the heart of the town on grand street right over the bridge from the hot springs.

Great location for the park

This was a great hotel to stay at if you are going to the adventer park because you can walk to the gondola from the hotel (it's in the same parking lot as the hotel) and are 9 year old loved all the rides. The only thing bad about the hotel is that it is a little far from the hot springs. Overall it's was a great place to stay.

over all a good experience

This was a nice hotel, it was clean and the staff was friendly. The pool was open until 11pm, which was a nice bonus. The breakfast was upper end continental with healthy choices. We are picky about hotels, won't walk on floors barefoot, but this one was nice enough, I would stay again.

Great Pool

the hotel was very clean. The pool area is one of the nicest indoor pools I've sen. It wold be great for families with children. The breakfast is satisfactory. It is adjacent to the tram for the Caverns. The rooms are very quiet even though the highway is close.
