Hilton Fort Collins

I was perfectly happy with the staff. I didn't have any issues with that. We got into our room and we found hairs on the beds. I'm in college and usually stuff like that doesn't bother me, but I paid *too much* money to stay at that hotel. I should expect better cleanliness than that. The towels are awful. We were only there for one night, but I won't stay there again. I'll be at the Marriott from now on.

Great Great Great

The staff at this hotel was amazing. They were extremely helpful in every way imaginable. The free shuttle (and drivers) provided great service and help and the day and night time staff all went equally out of their way to ensure our happiness. The hotel itself is amazingly beautiful as well. The location could be a little closer perhaps, but is still walkable to Old City and the free shuttle service solves this issue for those who don't want to walk. Overall A+ highly recommend!

Money-saving tip: In Hotel

Free Shuttle! - don't miss.. they will take you to just about where ever you want to go.. and even pick you up till about 10pm. Our driver actually called places for us to see if they were open since we arrived a bit late. He found the best place, dropped us off in front and gave us a hand written card with a local taxi phone number so we could get home. We walked back but it was still very thoughtful. The staff seemed to actually feel bad that we couldn't make it to the breweries at the later hour and got us to the next best available brewpub/eatery. Thanks again!

Great hotel

We were in town for a wedding, a friend recomended the Hilton. The rooms were great there was lots of room for our 6 m/o son to roll around. The beds were very comfortable. The room was really clean, the staff was really friendly (except the waiter) and the wall of windows was awesome. I would stay here again. The food wasn't the best, especially for the price.

good place to stay

I was in town for a reunion. The location was good and the prices were comperable to others. Its a nicely remodeled hotel. There is one thing that happened that made me pause. I was leaving around 2 my second day when i noticed someones left over dishes and sandwich from roomservice right beside a maids cart. At 7 that night the cart was gone food still there. I left and came back at 10:30 and it was still there. So i was checking out at noon the following day and there it was!!! It was so absurd I had to laugh.

Internet Credit Card Attack

The internet policy of Hilton Fort Collins required that I swipe my credit card at every turn. The in room charge is $9.95 per 24 hours via credit card to an outsourced service provider. That alone is appallingly expensive. The business center requires a credit card swipe even though there is supposedly no charge for internet use, just printing. I felt imprisoned in the hotel with no access to the web other than swiping my credit card. Since the internet provider is not a Hilton hotel service my credit card number goes to an oddly autocratic and demanding service provider. I felt that I was paying for the outsourced internet provider's greedy business plan, and that payment for internet time was much more important than providing me (the paying guest) with access to the web. Ease of web access is vital. This hotel internet policy is not hospitality and shows no respect for my credit card security. I did not feel safe with all of the demands to send my credit card number out to an outsourced internet provider.

Loved it!

This hotel is walking distance to Colorado State and we could see our daughter's dorm from our room. The rooms are very well appointed and spotless. They offer great food and friendly service. The price was not outrageous.
