A good convenient choice
The Best Western University on College Ave is very reasonably priced and easy to find. Although perhaps a bit more worn than some of the newer pricier places in Fort Collins -- it was perfectly clean and comfortable. The room included a huge King bed, very decent shower and full temperature controls. I especially liked the pool and hot tub, but the eliptical in the exercise room was squeeky. The only thing I wasn't crazy about was having to walk outside across the parking lot to get to the pool/exercise area. Still, I would recommend this hotel if you are hoping to be located near the University or Old Town district.

Dining tip:
Short drive from hotel
Old Town Fort Collins has an amazing number of places to eat, drink and listen to music. Just 10 minutes form the hotel, but good luck finding a good parking spot on a hopping Saturday night.

Won't Stay Here Again
Small, cramped, 1960s-era motel. Heat in room did not work. Could hear all noises from the other rooms and from the street. Very disappointed.

Does not meet the average quality of Best Western hotels. Carpet was very old and not clean. The room had a very bad smell, not fresh.

Good for a short stay
I really liked the location of the hotel because it is within walking distance of the CSU campus. I also liked the free wireless internet because I was able to work from the hotel room. I did not care for some of the little things related to the upkeep of the room. The hair dryer mount was broken and eventually fell off the wall, there were ants in the room (which I alerted the attendant to), and other things that didn't make my stay as comfortable as it could've been.

Long walk from hotel
The hotel is a moderate distance from the downtown area. If there were more time, I would've liked to have spend more time there.

Convenient for the price...
Nothing special. If you can get a good deal here it's probably worth it just for the location if you want to be close to CSU / Old Town. Walls are paper thin, so you can hear your neighbors / TV unless you try to drown them out with your own TV! I stayed in the back portion which is suppose to be the newer part. No major complaints...just an average Motel.

I don't think you can do better...at this price
The service was very friendly and helpful. They quickly switched us when we found our room smelled smoky. The breakfast included yogurt, oatmeal, hard-boiled eggs, cereals (and granola), fresh fruit, waffles (incl sugar-free and fruit syrups), bagels and cream cheese. Yes, the pillows were a little small, but the room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. They even had a branch of the bike library there, so you can rent bikes for free, for up to seven days, with a credit card deposit ($150/bike). The location is an easy (<1mi) walk to old town square and right across street from campus. This hotel is obviously catering to repeat clients (student families), so quality is high to keep them coming back. It worked for us.

Borrow bikes from bike library. It is the best way to explore Fort Collins from a local perspective.

Vacation
Hotel was very old and out dated. Rooms are to small for the high price. Fuzzy tv stations,s on a very old tv. Toilet over flowed. I suggest another hotel for the price u pay here. There was food left in the frig. And no microwave.. The only good thing is there swimming pool. Which is not connected to the hotel..
