Dilapidated, very rundown facility
This place is completely run down and should only be considered if nothing else is available.No attempt at making the customer welcome and generally inhospitable reception. We were charged more per night at this dump than other places we stayed in Estes Park which were far superior.It is fairly well located and has a good view from the front of the motel but that's all it has going for it.

worst hotel in area!!!!
This is a rundown establishment!! No air conditioner, ceiling fan made knocking sound, no coffee pot, and electrical outlet pulled out of wall when I unpluged electric device. Smoke detector had no cover and I don't know if it even worked. Do not stay at this motel!! This was rated 3 stars. BIG JOKE!!!I would give it less than one star, but I don't have that choice!

Friendly people
It was ok for the money. We wound up going to the store and getting a plug-in air freshener, it smelled so bad. The bed and all were clean but the carpets were in bad need of cleaning and the window screens. A little glue on the wallpaper seams would make it look better. I would only stay there if there were no other place to stay.

Terrible Hotel
I tried not to touch anything. The room was filthy and the room was dilapidated. Do not stay here until they go through a gut and remodel.

Motel was not so great!
The Good- it was quiet with good location. Hot tub was operational, nice and hot. Bad- see above. I don't think we would stay there again the way it is. Went to check in and they couldn't find my reservation. Only flat sheets were on the bed. Kept waking up on an old stained mattress without the sheet because it didn't tuck in.

nothing short of a bull-dozer would improve this place!!I now know the meaning of ceiling fan in the review (definition- *NO AIRCONDITIONING*) and army showers (definition-*get wet,turn of water, soap up, turn water back on and rinse off very fast*I shudder to think what a 1-star would be like [...] Sorry, there is no other way to explain this place other than "A DUMP"

Awful Hotel, Avoid at all costs!!!

The hotel was dirty old
This hotel was dirty, in need of repair. The bed only had one sheet, there is no air conditioning. The ceiling fan, well I thought it was gonna fall on us. There was not a remote for the TV When i went to look for it I found A box of condoms in the drawer. There were no outlets to recharge anything. STAY AWAY.

I will never stay there again.
I will never stay there again. Dust everywhere, bathtub clogged, noise from the street... You get the idea.

Hipster Dad of 4 w/ Reasonable Standards
Icky, keep looking
I can do simple. A small clean room would be fine for me, but the Twin Owls was just icky. You can tell it is just a very old motel that hasn't been taken care of. The second I walked into the room, a wall of stale air hit me. I had to keep a window open all night just to deal with the smell. There was dust on the bed. The lamp was corroded. And finally, there was no hot water, so I couldn't take a shower.

Rocky Mountain National Park is just spectacular. Get out of the hotel and just explore.
