Very unfriendly Clerk No amenities what so ever I tried to save some money for my company but the value price not worth it. Bed very uncomfortable. I guess you get what you pay for

It was ok, not anywhere close to the downtown area as the [...]agent suggested. The breakfast room was extremely tiny and with the cold nights, they were limited on blankets.

Not the best spot in town
I was in town for business after making a long drive, just looking for a good nights sleep. The room was very small and worn, which didn't really bother me as I figured I just needed a nice bed. I laid back, put the comforter up to my nose and had the pleasure of smelling what must have been the guy who stayed in the room the night before's armpit...at least I hope it was his armpit. It was disgusting. There is no way they are cleaning those things inbetween guests stays.

Good Value and Clean
The hotel was well managed, helpful, friendly. I gave it 4 stars instead of 3, because it was clean and the ease of service. Not anything upscale, but for the money I was very happy. We could hear the road noise at night, but again, for the price I was happy. I ran on the river trail in the mornings which took me right by the Double Tree. Double Tree is right on the river and I'm sure is much newer and nicer, but when I booked it was an extra $50 a night more than what I was paying. If the price were closer, I would opt for Double Tree next time. I would definitely choose this Econolodge over any of the other lower priced hotels in town. Locals had good things to say about it's reputation.

Excellent service & friendly staff
Clean, Friendly staff...... highly recommended. I will stay here again. I was staying to enjoy the slopes.

The employees at the hotel were very friendly. The rooms were always clean. There wasn't a microwave or a refrigerator as the description suggests. I would recommend this hotel only if you are staying for a night or two.

The mongolian grill by wal-mart is the only good asian place to eat in town.

Not bad for a budget hotel
This is a basic budget hotel. Our rooms were clean and well appointed, if a bit small.

Downtown Durango (less than 1 mile away)is loaded with good restaurants. The hotel staff recommended the Steamworks brew pub. We found it to be crowded and really noisy. Carver's is a much better brew pub.

Location was good,breakfast very limited
Very disappointed in lack of pool at that price. Breakfast very limited. Trolley is free and brings you right downtown, where everything is. Great town!

OK but not great
Perhaps it was due to peak season, but the price seemed high for the quality. Motel showing its age with a soft bed and old-room smell.
