Great location and superior value in the heart of Denver

Perfect for Our Family Wedding Party

Room with two king beds and queen was perfect for family with kids. Staff was cordial, professional and working hard. Great location. Irish Snug across the street great for grownups and takeout for the kids.

Good location for a good night sleep

We reserved the site a day before. It was located just a few blocks from the Capital but we were cautious when walking around the next morning prior to departure. The room was fine - spacious and clean - pool and sauna were available and visible from our room, but we did not use. A restaurant was within the building but we did not use. Desk help (3) were loud and talkative during the time my husband or I were waiting in the lobby.

The Capitol was a great site to visit, even as a quick walk through. When we visited they had 400 quilts on display with a booklet that shared the information pertaining to each one.

We knew what we were In for

We didn't stay for the hotel, we did day trips all around the state in our week there. It was a room that was in the courtyard, but our view was completely obstructed by the innards of the restaurant's air conditioning ducts, and the room had a slight stale puke smell that lingered our entire stay. The location is very close to many fun bars like cheeky monk, and prohibition. Pizza fusion is also a great pizza place nearby too. If you are not accustomed to homeless, there are quite a number of them in Denver, but generally they leave you alone. The staff of the hotel were not engaging to their guests, but the lobby areas were very nice, but kind of dated, although they were going for the western theme, so not a big deal. The rooms could use some updating, the staff could be a bit nicer. We did not have the maids clean the room, so not sure if they were thrifters or not. Was definitely not a kick-back and relax kind of vacation, but a decent change of pace from a standard trip.

VERY CONVENIENT

I WILL GO BACK TO THIS HOTEL - The hotel has FREE PARKING though walkable to the center of downtown - but the free shuttle service within a 3 mile radius made this hotel EXTRA SPECIAL. The rooms/beds are CLEAN and COMFORTABLE though need updating. The area has lots of yuppies and at the same time bums - but the bums won't bother you and they are not around during the day.

reasonable for location

was there for a single night, average place, but not pricey. Shuttle service: could be better, you have to book in advance and it is generally full. May be they should have more vans.

Not the Hyatt

If you're looking for the Hyatt then the Ramada is not for you. If you're not looking for a destination hotel, but do need a clean, comfortable, and quiet place to lay your head down then this place will do just fine. Be honest with yourself, if all you plan on doing is sleeping, showering, and preparing your notes for tomorrow's business affairs then why plunk down big money as if you don't have anything better to do with it. However, I would be amiss if I did'nt caution you on the breakfast--go somewhere else, trust me. Also, for a mere 30 minutes you can enfoy a peaceful walk to downtown while enjoying some beautiful examples of Denver residential architecture amid well landscaped gardens. Though a word of caution, stay away from Colfax street unless you are not bothered by being approached by homeless and others who have probably indulged one too many times. My suggestion is to go two blocks north to 16th or 17th streets and proceed along those for the 30 minute walk into town.

Warning!

DO NOT STAY HERE. I had money stolen from the room while I was out. The hotel is also in a rough location in the city. It is a bad area and is far from the true Downtown.

Great employees, not a great hotel

I was in town on business for a few days. The employees were all friendly and great to work with, from different front desk folks to the room service team. But the hotel needs improvements. The internet was spotty. The treadmills in the fitness center didn't work. The light in my bathroom was out when I arrived. There was something permanently sticky on the floor in my room. The vending choices leave something to be desired. But again, the folks who work there are great.

Tired furniture and pervasive stink

Pervasive smell throughout the hotel. The carpet was greasy , the coffee maker in the room didn't work. The comforter set was rife with cigarette burns.

Stay elsewhere

The hotel room did not look like the photo on their website. It was dingy, the sheets and duvet cover were not crisp. One had a stain on it. The staff was not helpful when needed to replace an appliance. Very dingy in appearance and not good in terms of service.
