Homestead DTC-North

The outer windows, on a ground floor room, did not open/close/lock properly; a gaping security risk. The A/C would not keep the room below 78 degrees. The showerhead was broken. Two of the light switch knobs were broken. There were cigarette burns in various places around the room, including the bed sheets. I expected a cheap room with no frills, but I did not expect it to be such a dive.

Check-in clerk was not very communicative. Room that was assigned had not been cleaned after last guest, but I was quickly re-assigned a satisfactory substitute room. Was not informed up front about the internet connection passcode - had to call down to front desk to get it. Outside trash bins under stairwells were overflowing and area was dirty. Nice picnic table and grass in back with good view.

TRAVELERS BEWARE ! FRAUD! Do not book a room here. I pre paid for my room on [...]and the hotel clerk verified that on check in. However when we checked out another attendant said no he made a mistake and being the nice guy I paid it and did not question. When I got home I see where I was charged twice. I was on the phone with [...]they called Homestead and the desk clerk hung up on them. They finally got ahold of them and said to call back when a manager was there tomorrow. So I called my bank to take care of the problem and report it as a fraudulent charge. I spent 2 hours on the phone trying to resolve the issue. I am not happy and will not use Homestead Suites again. Obviously they either hire con men or idiots. DO NOT STAY HERE......

we just needed a place to sleep, it served its purpose. full kitchen was nice!

I travel greatly in my business and have stayed at other Homestead Suites. I was very disappointed in this one. There were three of us sharing the room. The pull out sofa had no sheets and I was told if we wanted any then I would need to come to the office to pick them up. The internet only worked part of the time. The room had a stale odor to it that even Lysol could not correct. There was dust all over the curtains and baseboards. The bathroom had hair in the tub and the door was filthy from dirt. We had a kitchenette but I was afraid to use it until I had washed the pots and pans as they still had food from a previous user. The inside of the cabinets were filthy with dirt and dust. When I told the front desk about this they appologized but the young lady said she could not do much as the manager was off site and there was no housekeeping until the next day.

Hotel is right off the highway so good access to go downtown, or wherever. There is an excellent restaraunt (very pricey but excellent) just around the corner called Pordadeux (?) close but not exactly right. Seafood and very good. Found some local places you should try: Jack n Grill has a 7lb. breakfast burrito that man vs. food tried! Wow1 and the burgers - unbelieveable big and good. would stay here again, kitchenette was handy.

I believe they were training someone on the front desk, and I don't mind that it took a while to check us in, what I did mind is the issues the manager seemed to have with the fellow checking us in. The mocking glances, and dissapproval that he made evident to us. I felt the young man checking us in was very professional and curtious. I found the room to be less than clean and upkeep lacking. There were stains on the commode and on some walls in the bathroom. I feel what was billed as a queen size bed had to be no more than a double bed. One person in our party had a room with two smoke detector outlets, however it had no smoke detector in either one. They permit their long term guests to store trash in a receptice under the stairs, but I'm not sure when they get around to removing it. One rooms door opened up right next to the huge pile of trash, which was rather repulsive. I felt as the others in our party, that I would never stay at this facility again.

I used the hotel for 6 days and 5 nights I assisted to a conference and travel around downtown Denver the weekend. Was a good experience, good price, right in front the light rail, very quiet location. Staff is very friendly.

the receptionist at the hotel did not know how [...]works and tried several times to get me to pay again for the room even after i presented an itinerary showing the payment made in full.
