Mixed experience

First, the staff at this place are universally wonderful. Unfortunately, the rooms are looking pretty old. The first one they put us in smelled of sewerage in the bathroom. They quickly switched us to another room, and here, the matress was totally broken on one side. I spent one sleepless night on it and then my partner (who is much less sensitive to this sort of thing) and I switched for the next three. Note that the bed are advertised as high-end -- the linens are nice but don't compare to what you find at a Westin or even a Sheraton. The extra space in the corner rooms is mostly corridor. Last, the views of the mountains are severely limited by buildings, and boy do you see a lot of parking lots!

Wedding Guest

Staff was great. Our room was nice. The only downfall was that it overlooked the pool area. That made the room feel very dark and gloomy. Other than that we'd stay again. Great Downtown Denver location.

Great location, expensive parking

We stayed here for one night. We spent the rest of our time at a condo in Breckenridge, CO. Or rate was $149, which is reasonable. However, we had to pay an additional $35 to valet park our car. They don't offer hotel parking, just Valet parking at an additional $35 a night. I'm from Chicago so I somewhat expected to pay for parking, but this is Denver, not quite a metropolis. As far as the rest of the hotel. The location is great, about a block from the 18th street mall, which is good for shopping and people watching. The hotel staff are pleasant and helpful with recommendations on places to eat dinner. The amenities are pretty standard for a business hotel. I've stayed at Grand Hyatt's before, and this place isn't Grand! I didn't see a room service menu, so I'm not sure that they offer it. The pool is nice, the workout center is clean. The jacuzzi outside was lukewarm at best. The bed was fantastic. The TV was a standard 32" LCD. The room itself was comfortable, but I really expected more from a Grand Hyatt. I guess that is the difference between the Hyatt in San Diego or in Maui and the one in Denver.

Great Stay

I booked a double bed room and prepaid on a travel website. When I arrived, the hotel staff informed me that they were completely full for the night and only had one room left called the parlor room. This room did not have any beds but had an L shaped wrap around couch, a big screen tv, a kitchen, and a huge bathroom. It usually connects to another room with a king sized bed but that room was in use. After apologizing numerous times and letting us look at the room, they gave us a discount of half off (only had to pay 65 dollars), free valet parking (which was about a 30 dollar value), and free breakfast for two in the morning (17$ each). With that being said, we pretty much got the room for free. The room was huge and even though it didn't have beds, it was very nice and on the top floor of the hotel. The staff was very accommodating and handled the situation so well. I would definitely recommend staying at this hotel and will stay there again!

Close to everything

Te lowest rate available was for a double, at check in we asked the FD manage if we could get a king size bed and he was happy to do that. Room was clean, spacious and quiet. We ordered from room service twice (too much shopping made us tired) and the food was good, not spectacular but not awful. Overall experience was great.

Very close to all the great dining options that Larimer street has to offer. Our favorite is Rioja and for breakfast Snooze (long wait, up than hour, but so worth it)

One night in Denver

We needed a place to stay for one night in Denver before a skiing weekend in the mountains. The room was beautiful and location was great (just off the 16th street mall with tons to do!). The only drawback was $28 valet parking!

Gorgeous Hotel, people skills need work

I have stayed at several hotels in the area and NEVER had security knock on my door within 10 min of returning to our room to be told that we were disturbing 'EVERYONE' on the floor!! Prior to us leaving that evening the room accross the hall were very loud and it probably was them. I wish security would have really verified who/where the people were that were disturbing everyone.
