Never Informed about Renovations
We did get a good price but no one ever told us, either Orbtiz or the hotel upon confirmation, that the hotel is under major renovations. We we were woken up at 8:00 AM by jackhammering on the floor above our room. Needless to say, we checked out 4 hours early due to the noise and vibrations. Impossible to sleep.

Centrally located and everything you would expect in a 4 star hotel. Currently undergoing renovations but never heard or saw a thing. Breakfast at the hotel was pricey but excellent. Would had booked again for my return in January but they were sold out.

My hotels needs are simple, a clean comfortable place to sleep; a good size desk with internet connections and a good lamp, and located in safe area close to downtown facilities. Price is a $/value equation. This visit to this hotel hit on all points.

Just a couple things wrong
We've stayed at this hotel before and liked it. However this time, both my room mate and I ended up with stuffy noses during and for several days after our trip. The room supposedly was "hypo-allergenic" and had a noisy air purifier in the room. Although it is a non-smoking room I smelled smoke several times and wonder if the air purifier was supposed to mask the smell. I also got stuck in one of the elevators a couple times. I had to insert my room key a few times and it finally went to the desired floor. It's a great location just a couple blocks from 16th Street. Hopefully these issues will be resolved. Friends that were staying in the same hotel had nothing but good things to say, including the beds were the most comfortable they've slept in.
